The taco omakase is an abridged more casual version of the tasting menu centered around taco courses and included two drinks. I was blown away and it’s easily one of my favorite all time dining experiences. Need to go back for the full tasting. Shoutout @chefnormdoe for an incredible experience 🫡

Courses in order -

Oyster michelada - super unique flavor pairing and it worked, I personally love micheladas

Shrimp ceviche - chefs put on a show for this one with the dry ice. Loved the pairing with mango as well

Truffle quesadilla - time to admit that I am a truffle slut and they piled that shit on. Perfection for me.

Crab birria - another favorite and a twist on a classic. Paired so well with their seafood birria broth

Suadero taco - just a perfectly done classic beef taco, and enjoyed customizing on my own with salsa verde, onions, lime, and cilantro

Iberico taco - came with salsa molcajete. Great taco but didn’t blow my mind as much as the others

Coconut parfait - refreshing way to end the meal, some pina colada vibes

Easy speak @culebrachicago 🇵🇷

Some of the highest quality and unique cocktails I’ve had in a while, with a small but big tasty food menu of Puerto Rican street food, so of course ordered everything

Favorite cocktail was the Doradura - Mijenta Tequila
Reposado, Empirical Stonefruit, Saffron, Lemon, Almond, Toasted Sesame, Black Sesame 🔥🔥🔥 first on the menu for a reason.

1. Chhicken skewers with incredible chimichurri
2. Culebra sando - steak with fried plantain
3. Arroz con jueyes - fried rice cakes with blue crab

Best Indian meal and it’s not even close @indiennechicago

This was my third time visiting and somehow they have upped their game. Finally decided to try to lobster ghee roast add on, totally worth it, and the new chicken makhni and egg curry dishes blew me away. First dish: green apple and tamarind dahi puri.

If you haven’t been I highly recommend it. Really good value for the price and they have all kinds of tasting menus to fit your dietary needs.

Best pasta 💯 @rezdoranyc

I’ve heard so much about Rezdora having the best pasta, and the rumors are true. But this place is special for more than just pasta. Service is elite and the staff were so friendly. Plus there’s so much more to enjoy.

Starter: you have to order the grilled garlic bread whatever you do. Do not skip this. And the burrata with mushrooms and truffle was so refreshing on a hot day.

Pastas: ordered the signature “grandma’s walk in the park” and the duck ragu. The walk in the park is a green pasta filled with mushrooms and topped with leeks and Parmesan Greek. Insane. And the duck ragu is tru comfort food and melts in your mouth.

Dessert: honestly one of my favorite desserts of all time. Olive oil four ways included olive oil cake, ice cream, olive oil and rosemary breadcrumbs, with drizzled olive oil. Perfect.

Fusion done right 🍣 @akiro.us

This is the world’s first Nikkei handroll bar, which combines flavors and techniques from Japan and Peru, leading to unique flavor combinations beyond what you might find at a traditional handroll bar.

Some of my favorite bites:

- Salmon and hamachi sashimi: some of the thiccest sashimi you’ll ever see, so refreshing and crisp 😮‍💨
- Shrimp tempura: similar to a rock shrimp and this one is up there with the best
- Toro caviar nigiri: your classic luxurious but with the bone marrow drippings it was next level 🔥
- Salmon truffle nigiri: I could not get enough of this so ordered multiple, the foie gras dollop makes it
- Short rib handroll: not something you usually see and had a nice touch of sweetness
- Matcha tres leches: exactly as good as it sounds, I’m a sucker for tres leches

Immaculate vibes🍸@kittyscosmopolitanclub

New cocktail bar located under @cryingtigerchicago is one of the hottest reservations in town and rightfully so. Cozy room with luxurious service and items.

Drinks: tableside martini was smooth and came with a great show. Enjoyed the pisco sour and champagne as well, and it’s worth trying some of the cocktails made in their cold room to maintain temperature

Food: whoa my god so much good food. Seafood platter was great, highly recommend the red prawn cocktail and the caviar chips and dip. The Wagyu truffle dim sum was my favorite over the pork and shrimp.

First Mexican restaurant in the world with 3 Michelin stars! Best meal I’ve ever had from start to finish and could not be more deserved.

Courses start to finish -

1. Sope - gold mesa, gigante bean mousse, caviar
2. Tostada - Dungeness crab, serrano, trout roe
3. Bocol - mushroom mole, sea urchin, truffle
4. Aguachile verde - kampachi, cucumber, tomatillo, green apple sorbet
5. Abalone - fermented carrot juice, kombu
6. Flan - Jamón Ibérico, corn, caviar
7. Bacalao negro - sourdough tortilla, fried black cod
8. Pescado - rock fish, tomatillo, black lime
9. Mole - chicken, tortillas, smoked chicken leg

CRUNCHWRAP WEDNESDAYS 😋 @taqueriachingon

This thing is a behemoth and needs to be on your list. Seasoned beef, house cheese sauce, crema, pico, tostada, lettuce….so satisfying and only available on Wednesdays (they also have a soft shell crab one on the weekend 👀)

But also try some tacos! My favorite was the Campechano: carne asada, chorizo verde, grilled jack cheese, avocado salsa 🔥
