WELCOME TO THE PEMDAS PIZZERIA! 🍕❤️✨ Thursday was one of my favorite days of teaching so far! To finish up our Order of Operations unit, I did a room transformation and turned my classroom into a pizzeria for the day. Every student received their own chef’s hat and apron, a pizza box to decorate (+ solve problems inside), pizza tattoos and stickers, and a pizza bracelet. I am so thankful for everyone who helped make this happen. A special shoutout to Papa John’s for donating pizzas, so my class could have pizza as well. Everyone in the school loved seeing my little chefs walk around the school campus. 🥰

So many staff members came by my room today and complimented it and said how welcoming my classroom is and how it feels like sun rays are hugging them. 🥹🩵💛 This is my first year teaching ALL subjects and only having one class, but I am SO excited!!! Here’s to 2 years of The Sanctuary being a place of hope, joy, and safety for everyone who has stepped foot in my home. 🕊️🤍

It’s surreal to realize it’s been two years of being a home owner. I am living in the prayers I used to pray. This past year has been really hard on my mental health, and even though my mental health plummeted in ways I didn’t know it could, this home of mine has been a place of refuge on the really dark days when I couldn’t find hope. As I look back at the moments from this past year, I am humbled by the amount of life that flowed through these walls. What an honor it’s been to host dinners, birthday parties, sleepovers, etc. Looking back at the pictures and videos from this past year in my home flooded my eyes with tears; what a privilege it is to welcome so many people and love them deeply.

Through the safety and freedom in the Sanctuary, I have begun to dream big dreams again and my creative spirit has unlocked in ways I didn’t know was possible. I launched a fashion company in these four walls & watched creativity flood this house in the sweetest of ways. In this past year, I went from not touching a paint brush in years to learning how to paint fabric & listen to His voice more intentionally.

Despite the struggles this year brought, I am in awe of how FAITHFUL and KIND the Lord has been to me with this home. I can’t even imagine just how beautiful year 3 of living here will be. I am forever grateful Abba has gifted me with a home to host His presence and His people. To everyone who has walked through the doors of my home, thank you for entrusting me with a place to love on you & reawaken childlike joy. 🕊️🤍 by @childofchrist_
