If a card has already been authenticated, graded, and preserved in a slab, why should an ungraded copy command a higher price?Yes, a raw card has PSA 10 potential but it also has the risk of grading an 8, a 7, or even lower. The majority of raw cards will not 10. One week in and I still think there’s more room for prices to come down.The launch hype is fading, more product is getting opened every day and that usually means more singles hitting the market. I never thought I’d be asking this, but… is grading even worth it anymore?Higher grading fees. Longer turnaround times. And for a lot of cards, the value bump after grading just isn’t what it used to be.Don’t get me wrong, I still think grading has its place. But I’m way more selective now than I was a few years ago.Are you still sending cards in, or are you sticking with raw copies? by @chill.zard

Every time prices drop, people start saying the Pokémon market is crashing.I don’t really see it that way.After the run we’ve had over the past 6 months, a pullback was bound to happen. Some cards are down, some haven’t moved much, and a few are still climbing. That’s pretty normal.If you’re collecting for the long haul, this might be the time to start picking up cards you’ve been putting off.What do you think—is this a crash or just a correction? PSA made another change and I’m not sold on it.They’ve added a new Mylar backing to their slabs. I get that it’s supposed to improve protection, but I think it takes away from the overall look of the slab.At the end of the day, collectors are paying a premium for the grade and the presentation. Right now, I definitely prefer the old design.Curious where everyone else stands on this. Do you like the new look, or would you rather they kept it the way it was? by @chill.zard
