🎵 SOUND CHECK TIME 🔥
With my friend Master djembefola BK 🇬🇳

Had the absolute honour of having this djembe sound tested by the one and only Mohammed Bangoura “BK” — his touch and energy really bring out the true voice of the drum.

This drum speaks, and BK made it shine.
Turn it up and enjoy the vibes! 🔥🪘✨

I did this drum for @joelkassel_dj in August-September.
The process took a while cause i had to skim the drum to around 7 kg for him to play standing and the request was to have a solo sound high pitch djembe with a close sound to a darbuka.
A black aesthetic for the shell and wrap was the idea for his performances.

The result is here. Around 7 kg synthetic skin african shell a weapon drum 🪘 with the sound of a machine gun 🔥

Thanks for the trust mate!

Reskinning and maintenance for this beautiful Dundun for Curt from @sydneydrumming a while ago.

Dundun was caught by rain/ moisture and the nature was doing what does best : following her natural cycles! This beautiful hide beetles were eating the skin as they do! Hehe 🙃 🐛

Swipe to see the process!
Dundun is already singing again ready for next full moon party on the 8th November! Come join us ! Maroubra beach 🏖️ by @chillidrumss

Restored this beautiful shell for Roscoe Hannagan.
Synthetic skin.
Sanded, Oiled & Waxed.
The bottom old metal sheet was removed and upholstery tucks fitted to preserve the style. The old nails were left to preserve the integrity of the shell.
A custom deco wrap was installed matching the original hanging strap.
Swipe to check the process.
The result a superb loud sound and very light 8.5 kg shell.
Flick me a message for your drum needs!

This is my 2nd pair of congas I had. I loved them until the day I let them go to an Uruguayan percussionist in Sydney.
The photo is from my brother @ernestoambrosino in the front yard of our house.

This @meinlpercussion congas have a superb warm sound and will be always in my heart ❤️ taken in Sydney, Australia by @chillidrumss
