@madluv.radio on disposable 🎞️
～ save the date for the next mad luv on sat 09.12.26 ❤️‍🔥

in planning this event months ago, i did not expect @madluv.radio to fall on the first match of the World Cup AND the night the Knicks win the NBA Championship. yes. there was a lot going on that night, but i wouldn’t have had it any other way. those who showed up for mad luv truly showed their support by being there. the Knicks winning the championship made it even more special because i got to celebrate with my cousin ML (that’s him in the glasses in the photo :)) who’s been a HUGE Knicks fan since we were kids. i snapped this photo from the DJ booth when they won 🏆

biggest Knicks fan i know @m_l_ 🧡💙

fams been day one Knicks fans. i easily became a @jalenbrunson1 fan bc of his focus, resilience, class, sportsmanship, leadership & Jersey (duh). yes, the King of New York is from Jersey 🙂‍↔️

braids

mad luv to the homies @bostonchery & @milkyshakedj for their special guest sets on the debut

we also celebrated a special lady on her birthday @simplypeachy ❤️‍🔥

🥹

90’s r&b type feels

fit check with @milkyshakedj

new traditions, full circle moment & downloads on the steps of a church (which turned out to be condo apartments).

reminder: next @madluv.radio sat 09.12.26 ❤️‍🔥♍️

the ideation of @madluv.radio came from my Love for r&b music and its roots, but also from a genuine curiosity about the musical impact from my hometown, Chilltown, Jersey City.

as we continue to witness pieces of Jersey City’s rich history and legendary fixtures diminish before our eyes from gentrification, i feel called to acknowledge and share the stories of the people and places that helped shape our music community.

one of those people was Stan Krause, owner of Stan’s Square Records, a beloved gathering place for music lovers, DJs, collectors, and artists for decades. since the 1960s, Stan and his shop served as a cornerstone of Jersey City’s musical culture, connecting generations through records, conversation, and community.

rest in sweet peace
Stanley R. Krause
