“One drink” at the @glamouruk Women of the Year 2025 Awards party turned into a whole moment 🤩 by @chimmsxo

Last month I was so honoured to attend a beautifully organised dinner held by @sofiaakel and the @freebookscampaign team as a member of their Creative Board.

I’ve supported FBC since way back supporting them with their very first festival 5 years ago(!) Watching Sof build this from a lockdown idea into a movement with a hotel residency, thousands of books distributed and such an impressive patron community - I couldn’t be prouder.

They‘ve just launched their first public library space at @aethoslondon so go and check it out if you’re in Shoreditch.

Thank you for the free headshots, a delicious meal and the best company! It was a fab evening.

Still can’t actually believe I got to film at the London Stock Exchange 🏛️✨
Literally 6 months ago I was still figuring out my next step, no idea what direction I wanted to take and somehow I’ve ended up here, talking about the future of capital markets at one of the most iconic institutions in the world!?? Everything happens for a reason I guess 🤷🏽‍♀️ Love that for me 😂 taken in London Stock Exchange by @chimmsxo

At four years old, @tabanshoresh was a political prisoner.

Born into a Kurdish family in Iraq, Taban was just a child when she and her family were imprisoned under Saddam Hussein’s regime. They faced persecution, imprisonment and the threat of execution before eventually escaping and beginning a journey that would bring Taban to the UK as a refugee.

That’s only the beginning of her story.

In our latest episode of Talent Talks, Taban shares what she remembers from those early years, what it was like rebuilding a life in a new country, the impressive career she built in the UK and why she ultimately chose to leave it behind and return to the region she had once fled.

Today, she is the founder of The Lotus Flower, supporting women and girls affected by conflict and displacement.

Taban’s is an incredible story of survival, ambition and what you choose to do with the life you fought to build.

I am so proud to be featured within the 2026 Empower Role Model Lists supported by @youtube. These global lists by @involve.people champion trailblazers who are driving positive change for people of colour in businesses.

Given it’s a personal and professional win, I thought I’d bring this honour to instagram as well. But instead of the LinkedIn spiel, I’d just say is that this feels extra special after powering through some really tough events so far this year. Just love to everyone who makes the things I’m involved with possible. 🤎🤎🤎 by @chimmsxo

Become a podcast host star??? ⭐️

I have the most incredible incredible opportunity for girls 18-23 who would like to learn about making a podcast and a little about the finance industry on the side! They’ll get to spend time at the iconic London Stock Exchange and record in their professional studios. We’ll be publishing the episodes on all major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

Will also make an excellent addition to CVs 😉

Not just for the maths and finance girlies. It’s a chance to showcase lesser-known opportunities and career paths in the financial industry.

Share for the girlies!

✨Holiday highlights include 5 hospitals, 7 cases of food poisoning, 1/2 a pint of blood lost, 3 stitches, 1 broken arm, 1 murder poster and multiple fights with border control, but still the best week ever 😍 #nothingbeatsajet2holiday taken in Tulum, México by @chimmsxo
