We are thrilled to launch our new film which captures the voices of young people from 4 of our partner charities.

Chimo exists to restore hope and purpose to young people facing mental health challenges.

We invest in evidence-based approaches which harness the therapeutic powers of nature, creativity and sport.

We work to unlock the potential of these pioneering approaches so more young people can access support that truly works for them.

Being a trustee at @chimotrust has shown me that this work is about so much more than funding.

It’s about backing brave, creative, deeply human work.

It’s about believing that healing doesn’t only happen in a clinic room.

Sometimes it happens through sport.
Through nature.
Through creativity.
Through community.
Through feeling seen.

That’s what makes Chimo so special.

Yesterday we hosted our 2025 Chimo Trust Summit – an event bringing together our 17 charity partners, leading academics, thought leaders, fellow funders and the Chimo team to share best practice around what we term Enhanced Social Prescriptions, and discuss how to maximise our collective impact to improve mental health outcomes for young people.

From our keynote speaker, the fantastic Professor Lord Richard Layard, to case study talks from our charity partners, cutting edge research in to evidencing impact and panel discussions on charity expansion and the importance of storytelling – it was a varied and jam-packed day of discussion, collaboration and learning.

We are thrilled to be partnering @greenhubprojectforteens.

Green Hub is a small but hugely professional and ambitious, local community project serving Surrey, Hampshire and surrounding areas supporting young people (10-18) facing social, emotional and mental health challenges, along with their families and carers.

Their weekly Green Teens programme offers social and therapeutic gardening to stressed, anxious and neuro-diverse teens, giving them the chance to experience the calming effect of nature, benefiting their mental wellbeing.

Chimo has provided core funding to help Green Hub scale. by @chimotrust

We are delighted to add 3 new charities to the Chimo portfolio. First up…. @footballbeyondborders. FBB’s “therapists in tracksuits” use the power of football to engage at risk and vulnerable students. FBB has grown rapidly over the last decade and works with 3,000 young people across 200 schools in London, West Midlands and Greater Manchester. Chimo is funding a new Head of London Programmes to broaden their service offering. ⚽️ 🥅 by @chimotrust

Chimo Trust @chimotrust is proud to back the #FutureMindsCampaign which calls on the UK Government for urgent reform to boost children and young people’s mental health support.

As a grant-making organisation supporting charities that harness the therapeutic powers of sport, nature or the arts to provide holistic mental health support to people under the age of 25, we constantly hear about the very significant challenges young people and parents are facing and the immense pressure on statutory and voluntary services.

This is not just a human crisis. It is one of the biggest economic challenges of our time. Better investment in prevention and early intervention makes sense. Three quarters of mental health problems are established by age 24, so adolescence is when the biggest difference can be made. It is also cost effective to get young people the help they need, early, so they can thrive at school and in work. It doesn’t always need to be seeing a doctor. Help in communities is effective and low cost and where Chimo Trust is focusing its investment.

Today, the #FutureMindsCampaign launches a widely endorsed economic analysis highlighting well-evidenced solutions and the benefits of reforming and investing in children and young people’s mental health.
