On this day my last baby was born, the finale! @kaydenjeff2 My little fiery, loving, strong willed, untamed, funny, beautiful, stressful baby. You asked me the other day were you an accident and I responded “hell yea girl” lol. Because no you were not planned you were a definitely surprise, you came after my diagnosis, after I quit corporate America to be an entrepreneur, I had no real health insurance, no plan B, Daddy just ended what was to date the best contract he ever had. But you also came at a time me and daddy’s faith was the strongest. So while you weren’t on purpose you were definitely a miracle. Having one baby survive was one thing but two ?! I belived that if God could do it once, he could do it again. My little mustard seed faith turn into the beautiful 5’10 girl I am blessed to be harassed by. lol. You are my baby and will forever be. If you see me today and I look like I’ve been crying, it’s because I woke up emotional. The baby they laid on my chest when I was barely 22 years old officially finished college today. She was determined to finish school early, and that’s exactly what she did.My little overachiever, my most stubborn, hella sensitive child — you are powerful in ways you don’t even realize, creative in ways you don’t always show out loud, and tougher than you think. You have given me and your father your very best, so maybe this isn’t a congratulations to you… maybe it’s a thank you, Kennedy. @itskennyjade. We did something right @davejeff With a heart full of gratitude, I thank God every day for the incredible blessing of not one but two amazing daughters. You both give me purpose, and I never take for granted the privilege of being your mommy.Kennedy Jade, I pray God opens big doors for you and that His favor carries you to places you could never imagine.Thank you to our village :• My Mommy, who taught me how to love big and hard and is the true example of sacrifice for your children.• My best friend who just happens to be my sister (the fixer), who shows up and shows out for ALL of us.• The Jones family (Dre and Emory) who were damn near foster parents to my baby while she was in LA — no words could describe how thankful I am for you both.• My friends, for being there for ME lol!• Her SODT & DWMP teachers, who continue to pour into Kenny.• My IGH family, who has loved on my babies over the years.Well… I guess this kinda turned into my acceptance speech lol.I said all that to say: my little Tinker Bell has officially finished college!!! 21!!! @itskennyjade This is insane. I’m not okay. I’m so very proud of my little over achiever! You have surpassed my expectations little lady. At every stage of your life I’ve had to learn how to parent. Navigating parenting an adult is the strangest stage. Because honestly I will probably always see you as a little girl in a tutu and Barbie heels singing and dancing to Icebox in front Daddy’s floor tv. lol. (Core memories) Happy Birthday Tinker Bell! Can we please press pause and rewind back to when you were my fat juicy baby !!! 14 is insane. My sweet, little argumentative, overly affectionate, free spirited, mamas girl, is growing up on me. 😩 Forming her own thoughts, ideas and identity! This is the scariest age for me. It happens over night. You will always be my Boogie, forever my baby. Be patient with me I will let go a little….. just a little. lol. Happy Birthday @kaydenjeff2 I love you so much. by @chimycoco

I remember coming home from the hospital scared out my mind. Thinking “what have I done, I’m too young for this. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do”. That day everything went wrong. Nothing was how I imagined or planned. This was not some fairy tale this was real life and I had to step into my excellence because I had been given the chance to be a mother after I was told that would never be my story. Boy were those doctors wrong. You are my blessing, my test and my testimony. You are my legacy and the proof that I could be great at something. When I feel insignificant, when I am disappointed I look at you girls and know that I am on this earth to MOTHER. Happy Birthday to my legacy! I’m so very proud of you. I wouldn’t change one chapter, one sentence or one word in our book. Thank you @itskennyjade for being an amazing kid. I’m done cause snot just flew out my nose.
