A China Coast Guard (CCG) spokesperson announced that, out of humanitarian considerations, Chinese authorities on Tuesday morning permitted the transfer of injured personnel from a Philippine vessel that was illegally "grounded" at China's Ren'ai Jiao in the South China Sea.

Jiang Lue, spokesperson for the CCG, said the transfer, under the monitoring of the Chinese side, was conducted via a small boat of the Philippine vessel.

The CCG will continue to carry out law-enforcement activities to safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests at Ren'ai Jiao and its surrounding waters in accordance with the law, the spokesperson added. by @china__focus

The China Coast Guard (CCG) has urged the Philippines to immediately stop infringements, provocations and groundless hype after Philippine personnel from an illegally grounded vessel aggressively harassed a small CCG patrol boat near China's Ren'ai Jiao on Monday.

After the incident, the Philippine side distorted facts and made false accusations against China, which the CCG said was a blatant reversal of right and wrong.

The CCG stressed that it will continue to carry out rights protection and law enforcement operations in accordance with the law in the Nansha Qundao, including Ren'ai Jiao, and adjacent waters, and firmly safeguard national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests. by @china__focus
