🌈💦WET N WILD(LY) BLESSED🧨🎊

One of many upcoming recaps of our joint contingent with @queerlunarnewyear as Chinatown Queer Community Collective in this year's Spring Festival Parade! 🌟

HAPPY YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE, EVERYBODY! 🐎🔥

What a way to start the horse year!! 🗓️ It kept raining and we got soaked waiting in line, but that didn't stop us from blasting our playlist and partying in the streets, bringing some much needed vibes to folks waiting in the rain! 🪩 (An uncle in a neighbouring contingent gave one of us a red pocket because of our vibe. 😎🧧)

It was beautiful to walk together as a contingent with elders, friends, community members, and to share the experience with each other! 💞 One of the Poh Pohs in our contingent said seeing so many of us energetic and happy made her feel energetic and happy as well. 🥹

And you know what? We'll keep doing that! 🌟 Let's rock it this year!! ❤️‍🔥 Thank you to everyone who joined our contingent and supported us! We see you! 🫶🏼

Some of the friendly faces captured at last month's Tiles & Togetherness! 🌞

Some of you have asked and YES 👀 you will be able to play mahjong outside again soon. 😉 Keep your eyes peeled, follow us if you aren't already doing so, and turn on post notifications! 🀄✨

A reminder that all are events are free and intergenerational! Chinatown Together was built on the goal to combat gentrification, and one way to do so is by activating underutilized public spaces and hosting events that build a stronger community. 💛

Use of MacLean Park fieldhouse would not have been possible without the collaboration of @yarrowsociety and @growingtogetherincommunity - thank you! 🤝🏼

Recapping our June event! 🥳
We took Tiles & Togetherness outdoors for the summer sun and had a great turnout!

Folks got to play several rounds of mahjong while our instructor @_chantalyao_ taught some beginner mahjong. 🀄✨

In addition to exercising our minds in the game, we also had Chinatown elder Swallow teach us Baduanjin for the health of our bodies! 🧘🏻

Overall it was such a fun event and we're so grateful folks came out!

Thanks to @yarrowsociety and @growingtogetherincommunity for collaborating with us and letting us use the MacLean Park fieldhouse space! 💛
