#ThrowBackThursday - Journey to the #Emmys - Part 1THE VISION - I was thrilled when @marcusscribner and the team allowed me to design a truly unique piece. A 4 Button Double Breasted Tuxedo, with exaggerated shawl lapels. THE FABRIC - This was all Marcus! Royal Blue was a colour he thought would pop on the red carpet, and he was right! A tone on tone texture added a little bit of elegance.FIT - After having made a prom dinner jacket earlier, we only needed to make small adjustments to the pattern we drafted. We wanted to ensure a tapered fit, but still have an elegant, classy drape. Marcus is a mix between youthful charisma, and an old soul - we wanted the fit to match the man!THE EMMYS @televisionacad - In a heavily anticipated, star studded evening, Marcus was the epitome of cool, classy and chic. We were confident the look would come together - we didn't know how right we would be!MEDIA - As a designer, you dream of seeing your work being displayed in a renowned publication. It was truly humbling and thrilling to see Marcus listed as one of the best dressed in @gq - the exact quote was, "Meet your 2018 King"🤴🏾Indeed!What a truly amazing experience. Yesterday, I turned 52, and I received the greatest gift. My son @vjc_08 crossed the stage and graduated high school. I could not be more proud of the young man you are, and the gentleman you are becoming. We know you are smart, and that you will do well. What I am most proud of is the person you are. FINALLY!! It’s official….Ireland’s very own @iangarry gets his shot at Gold and will be the first to take the belt off @islam_makhachev in Philly!! Years ago now I came across video of this Blonde Bond looking stud of a fighter who was competing in Cage Warriors over seas….his skills, his look, his charisma….I knew this kid was a star….found him on Instagram with about 5000 or so followers and emailed his management….I said Ian is going to win his next fight, win the Cage Warriors title, then get a call from Uncle @danawhite and get signed by the @ufc 🔥 I said that I connected the legend Bruce Buffer for his custom suits as well as many other fighters and that I wanted to have Ian walk in to his very first fight looking as good as The King @thenotoriousmma does today…..fast forward 6 months or so and that is exactly what happened and I then received a reply back from his now beautiful and absolutely bad ass wife @laylaannalee saying if the offer was still available they would love to work together as I had messaged them so early on with my support….thus the man himself @chinedustyle started making a different custom piece for many years for each of Ian’s fights which I hand delivered to Vegas….you can’t find a better man, father, husband and wife duo than Ian and Layla….i am so excited and proud of the whole family because the Gold is coming back to King Leo!!! #ufc330 #iangarry #islammakhachev #ireland #ufc by @chinedustyle

4 years ago @chinedustyle and I were sitting on the bleachers watching our kids play little league soccer, and I was telling him about how I wanted to create a hoodie that encouraged people to be soft and sensitive as it pertains to the needs of others and the harm of racism. After going back-and-forth with a few ideas (some of which we laughed at hysterically) we together together came up with “Stay Sensitized”. Not merely be sensitized, but stay in the place where you keep on giving a cr💩p. So much has become a reality because of this brother right here supporting my vision to make sweeter, safer, and stronger communities. I love you, dear brother, and thank you for being in my corner.
