In what’s been a challenging year economically we have been working hard with our business partners on making sure we look after our business, our exceptional staff but most importantly looking after our amazing Salute community! By introducing new services and stepping up on our existing offerings we have kept moving forward! All with the fun and professional attitude you know and love! Tonight’s the night! Salute are up for an award at the AHIA Business Awards in Brisbane - NZ SALON OF THE YEAR! It’s our first time entering a business based awards and to make the finals is an achievement in itself but to be with so many amazing finalists is epic! Good luck to all tonight - unfortunately we can’t be there due to prior commitments and we know the FOMO will be real! We couldn’t do this without the support of our brand partners, our amazing staff, family and friends but most of all YOU - our clients! Beautiful day getting educated by the very talented always so fun to watch and listen to @chinneyyeapcolour 🫶 Thank you for the inspiration and passion you bring to our industry ❤️ by @chinneyyeapcolour
A little colour inspo, a whole lot of education, and the loveliest reminder that there’s always more to learn behind the chair. We were SO spoiled to have hands-on time with the incredible @chinneyyeapcolour for the Moroccanoil Trend-Driven Colour & Styling Collection! Chinney was an absolute dream of a tutor, sharing her knowledge, creativity and expertise while giving us the chance to get stuck in ourselves. Because great hair doesn’t happen by standing still — it happens when we keep learning, experimenting and pushing ourselves to be better for our Hush babes. 🫶🏼 A huge thank you to Chinney and @haircaregroup for such an inspiring day. We’ve come away with fresh ideas, full brains and very happy hairdresser hearts! by @chinneyyeapcolour
BEFORE → AFTER 🫶🏼 A beautiful transformation by @chinneyyeapcolour using @moroccanoil_au Colour. “I don’t want to become a formula.” For Chinney Yeap, @chinneyyeapcolour staying creatively relevant means refusing to stand still. A two-time NZ Hairdresser of the Year and now NZ Hair Colourist of the Year, Chinney talks about the creative process behind her work, why colour is only one part of telling a story, and the importance of continuing to make work that surprises even yourself. She also talks about the people behind the trophy — the creative team she trusts, her 20-year partnership with Michael Beel, and the apprentices she is helping develop. Because perhaps the real measure of a career isn’t just what you win yourself. It’s what you build around you. IN FIRST PLACE — our interview series exploring the people, process and passion behind the work. Read the full interview with Chinney Yeap — NZ Hair Colourist of the Year. by @chinneyyeapcolour
