Everybody knows the baller @awoniyi18

But allow me to tell you about the man behind the footballer.
I have had the privilege of watching Taiwo’s journey from where he used to be to the man he has become today, and if resilience, discipline, persistence and determination could take human form, I would point you in his direction.
This man is a book worth reading.

I have watched him go through some of the toughest seasons of his life. I have seen obstacles come that would have given anyone enough reason to stop, postpone the dream, or simply say, “I have too much going on right now.”
But Taiwo?
He keeps going.
I have seen him at his lowest and still show up for his academics.
I have watched the sleepless nights. The assignments. The deadlines. The project defence. The meetings upon meetings. The pressure of an already demanding football career, while somehow still finding the discipline to pursue another dream.
There were days when I genuinely wondered, “How is he doing all of this?”
Because football alone demands so much from you.
Yet, in the middle of everything, this man made the decision to go back to academics and pursue his Master’s, and today, he has DONE IT. 🎓

That is why this achievement means so much more to me than another certificate.
It is a testament to the kind of man he is.
When Taiwo sets his mind on something, he goes after it.

He may get tired.
Life may happen.
Things may not always go according to plan.
But one thing about him?
He will rise. He will regroup. And he will continue.
That is the Taiwo many people don’t get to see on the internet.

Beyond the goals, the matches, the stadiums and the footballer you know, there is an incredibly intelligent, loving, disciplined and determined man.
A man whose story, in my opinion, is one young boys can learn so much from, because his journey teaches that you don’t have to choose between your talent and developing your mind. You can keep becoming.

So the next time you say his name, put some respect on it. 😂

Happy birthday to my special girl ❤️
You’re a sister marriage gave me, and I’m truly grateful for the gift of you. Through the years, we’ve been each other’s shoulders in sisterhood, and instead of pulling us apart, marriage has only brought us closer and helped us become better versions of ourselves.
I know I say this often, but I’ll say it again—I LOVE YOU, baby girl.
Have an amazing day and enjoy every moment. Happy birthday, my sister ❤️ @mrs_taiyeawoniyi by @chiomacharity5
