Continuing our Meet the Chapters series with none other than Chi Omega! 💛🦉Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega was established to create a sisterhood rooted in friendship, personal integrity, academic excellence, community involvement and service to others. Through these values, members are encouraged to grow personally, lead confidently and form meaningful connections that last a lifetime.Chi Omega proudly supports Make-A-Wish, helping bring hope, strength and joy to children with critical illnesses. Happy #WhyChiOWednesday 🤸‍♀️Back with another perfect Chi O duo post!!@wellermaret & @allisonpreble are the purest best friends ever 👯‍♀️Weller shares, “I was lucky enough to meet Allison at freshman year orientation. She was one of my first college friends and I am so lucky to have her now as one of my best ones. I am so grateful to Chi O for bringing us even closer, it’s crazy to me that we have been roommates for three years now! I truly can’t imagine my college experience without her. Allison is kind-hearted, dependable and deeply compassionate. To know her is to love her! “Allison says, “I can’t believe Weller and I met 3 years ago at UNC orientation!! I’m so happy that Chi O brought us together after! From living together to traveling abroad together, my favorite college memories have Weller in them. She’s the best friend with the kindest heart and I can’t imagine college without her! I’m so excited to be reunited for our senior year in big yellow! 💛🫂”The cutest ever!! Happy #WhyChiOWednesday from the one who can do it all @martha.higgins_ 💪💘Our awesome sauce Director of Programming is a rising junior from NYC 🏙️ Martha is majoring in Business and minoring in Physics 👩‍🔬She shares, “When I came to UNC as an out-of-state student, Chi O welcomed me with open arms. The chapter immediately felt like one big friend group, and I saw how much our exec team and programming fostered this culture. Now, as DOP, I try my best to serve the chapter with the same priorities. This Spring, from the post-formal waterslide, to our philanthropic Bingo (raising >$25k for Eastern NC Make-A-Wish), to sisterhood SkyZone, I saw the values that make Chi O so special in action. I can’t wait to share the connections and memories that all of these events bring with PC ‘26!In working with Cardinal Cabinet to plan events, fundraise for our philanthropy, and facilitate personal and professional development, I have experienced just how hard-working and collaborative each member of this chapter is. I am so grateful that Chi O trusted me as DOP, and I hope that throughout my term I can give back to this chapter even a tiny fraction of all of the incredible things it has given me.“We are so so grateful for 🫵 and all that you do. Happy #WhyChiOWednesday from the cutest duo around👯‍♀️🤭@gracie.danielsen & @leah_maple, both rising sophomores from Wilmington, might just have the sweetest friendship ever 🫂Gracie shares, “It still makes me laugh that Leah and I are from the same town and weren’t really friends before because now I can’t imagine college without her. Chi O truly brought us together and somewhere along the way she became one of my best friends! From endless laughs to making everyday more fun, I’m so grateful our sisterhood gave me a friend like her. Here’s to many more memories, love you always!!!”Leah tells us “Gracie and I grew up minutes apart but it took UNC and Chi O to actually bring us together, which still feels a little wild to me. Gracie is the friend I text the second something good or bad happens because I know she’ll get it instantly. She has this way of making everywhere feel more like home, dorm room included. Whether it’s a big event or just a regular school night , everything is better with her there.
