The beauty you see in the world is a reflection of the beauty in you.

This mural is probably the most personal piece I’ve painted so far.

Not just because it’s a portrait of my daughter…
…but because it’s also my very first attempt at painting a realistic portrait.

For years I’ve hidden behind styles I already knew.
This piece asked me to do something different.
To slow down.
To observe.
To trust the process.

I chose a bronze-like palette because I wanted her to feel timeless—as if childhood itself had been cast into metal. A reminder that the smallest moments often become our greatest treasures.

The quote became the heart of the mural. Wall will be gone, but I hope she will remember this wa show I saw her.

“The beauty you see in the world is a reflection of the beauty in you.”

Maybe art doesn’t create beauty.
Maybe it simply reminds us that it was already there.

I hope she’ll see how deeply she has shaped the person—and the artist—I became.

“The Dead Still Bloom.” 🌹

What if death isn’t the opposite of life…

…but proof that something beautiful existed?

This piece was created for Copenhell’s Day of the Dead universe.

To me, The Dead Still Bloom isn’t about death.

It’s about legacy.

About the people we carry with us long after they’re gone.
About the old versions of ourselves we’ve had to bury in order to become who we are today.
About love that refuses to disappear.
About memories that continue to shape us.

Maybe nothing that truly matters ever dies.

Maybe we bloom through the lives we touch.
Through the stories we tell.
Through the art we leave behind.

If this mural made you stop for even a moment…
then it has already fulfilled its purpose.

“The Ebony Horse”
Inspired by an ancient Persian fairytale from One Thousand and One Nights.

In the story, a magical mechanical horse is created with the power to fly across the world. But the real lesson lies beneath the wonder: power without wisdom can carry us further than we are ready to go.

That idea became the foundation for my mural at Slagelse Street Art Festival.

I was invited at the last minute, which meant two intense days of sketching, adapting and painting under pressure. Alsotus is my first animal in a mural. At the same time, it was a huge honor and an exciting opportunity to be part of a festival in my hometown and paint alongside so many talented artists and good people.

The horse itself became the central symbol, a dark, airborne force breaking through the clouds, carrying both the beauty and danger of invention, ambition and human potential.

Huge thanks to the IFUK crew and curators @institutforurbankunst , the organizers @slagelse_streetart_festival , @nordsjodanmark for great paint, and all the artists for the inspiration, the energy, and the amazing atmosphere.

🐴 Mød en af årets kunstnere — Nikolai Irinov!

Nikolai Irinov er født og opvokset i Slagelse, og nu vender han hjem til Nytorv med en spray i hånden. Med rødder i byens streetart-scene skaber Nikolai visionære værker med rå energi og et skarpt, detaljeret blik. Et fundament bygget på gaden — og det kan ses!

I år fortolker han eventyret "Den ibenholtsorte hest": Et eventyr om mod, list og en hest, der er meget mere end den ser ud til.

En slagelseaner der maler i sin egen by! 🎨

When flavor steps into the ring, only one thing matters: The knockout after feeling full from the 🔥 burger you just had.

I was given the freedom to make the wall at Smash Burger explode with raw power, attitude, and the kind of energy that hits you when a burger isn’t just food — but a punch to the taste buds.

Two iconic faces locked in full fight mode.
A burger as the centerpiece of a gastronomic KO.
Color, pace, and aggression — yet still inviting enough for you to feel:
This isn’t just eating… this is combat.

Big thanks to Smash Burger for giving me the space to go all in and create a mural that shouts, tempts, and provokes.

Et samarbejde mellem Nationalbanken og 15 andre kunstnere er nu færdigt. Værkerne er hængt op, og kan nu opleves af alle der er på farten ☀️🙌🏼

“Weightless”   Værket kredser om drømmen om vægtløshed, en mental rejse væk fra hverdagens rytme og de byrder eller mørkere skyer, som til tider hviler over os.  I billedets centrum ser vi en kvinde, der drømmer, reflekterer eller blot lader tankerne flyve hen mod hvad der kunne have været. Over hende bevæger en flok svaner sig gennem landskabet. Som Danmarks nationalfugl bærer svanen både en symbolik af skønhed og styrke, men også frihed og migration – evnen til at løfte sig, rejse langt og søge nye horisonter.  Maleriet minder os om, at mørke tider er midlertidige, og at en ny og lettere dag altid venter forude.
