A lawyer once told me, “I charge $1 for my time and $999 because I know what to do with the time.”

That hit different as a photographer and filmmaker.

Clients aren’t paying for the minutes we spend shooting, editing, lighting, or directing.

They’re paying for experience, creative vision, technical skill, problem-solving, and the ability to deliver high-quality results fast.

If you’re a creative professional, photographer, videographer, or content creator please price your work based on your expertise, not the clock.

Your value is in your mastery.

36 HOURS IN CHICAGO! 🎥✈️ I flew in, covered one of the largest nursing conferences in the country, got my steps in at McCormick Place, and flew right back out. This is what life as a corporate event photographer and videographer really looks like!

Big shout to @dejanaeevents for being an excellent on camera host. by @chipdizard

Storage prices are OUT OF CONTROL! 🤯💸

Something I purchased last year for $300 is now selling for $1,100. THE EXACT SAME THING!

Between AI, massive data centers, and the growing demand for storage, content creators, photographers, and videographers are getting hit HARD.

And here’s the crazy part: Storage isn’t optional for us. We NEED it to run our businesses, protect client files, and deliver our work.

At some point, something has to give because this is absolutely ridiculous.

My fellow photographers, videographers, and content creators… ARE Y’ALL SEEING THESE PRICES?! 😩 by @chipdizard

Sometimes you have to step away from the noise of social media and remember that everybody is fighting battles you know nothing about.

We’ve all faced trials and tribulations, but my prayer for the rest of 2026 is that this song speaks life, peace, strength, and blessings over you and your family, just as I pray it does for mine. 🙏🏾❤️

Whatever you’re going through, keep the faith. Your story isn’t over yet.

Memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

And I’d choose you and say “I do” all over again, every single time. 🥹🤍

Sometimes business requires you to go to the mattresses.

Not to fight your competition, but to fight complacency, distractions, self doubt , and the habits keeping you from growing.

I’ve learned that building a business requires different seasons. Some seasons are for enjoying what you’ve built. Others are for putting your head down and doing the uncomfortable work.

The key is knowing the difference.

Are you in a season of building or a season of enjoying what you’ve built?

Some people just show up for a paycheck. Others show up to make an impact. Angela is one of those people. 💯

If you see me shooting a corporate event, there’s a 95% chance you’ll see Angela right there working alongside me.

And let me tell you something about Angela: She has excellence in her DNA. She’s a DOER. She takes initiative, pays attention to the details, anticipates what needs to happen, and genuinely cares about the experience we deliver to our clients.

One thing I’ve learned in business is that you can’t grow something great by yourself. You need people who don’t just want an opportunity but are willing to do the work that comes with it.

And here’s the lesson for anybody watching: You don’t have to own the business to operate with an owner’s mentality.

Be dependable. Be teachable. Take initiative. Do more than what’s expected. Make yourself valuable wherever you are.

Because when you consistently show up with excellence, people notice. And opportunities have a way of finding people who are prepared for them.

Angela, thank you for everything you do for me, our team, and most importantly, our clients. I appreciate you more than you know! 🙌🏾

Your title doesn’t determine your value. The way you show up does.

We only photograph weddings by special request these days. 💍

So the question is… is your wedding special enough? 👀

Only 2 dates remaining for 2027. If you want the Chip Dizard Studios experience, let’s talk! 🔥 by @chipdizard

Gonna make it a habit to start posting more bts of these corporate shoots we spend a lot of time working on to look decent.

Whenever you’re in a hotel conference room with horrible house lights and a boring background, the @aputure.lighting spotlight works wonders in adding some punch to a corporate testimonial.
