The Great Hall at Chicago’s Union Station just surpassed 100 years since opening its doors to the world in 1925 and we dare say this was the best it has ever looked! Striking from every angle! Simple. Grand. Historic.

For a hundred years, this room was all hellos and goodbyes. Now it’s where the celebration begins.

Everyone rushes through Chicago Union Station, focused on their next destination. Almost no one stops to look up and see it as more than a place to pass through. We did, and now its Great Hall is one of our favorite rooms in the city to build a night around.

Now picture it near sunset. As the light shifts, the skylight turns gold, your voice carries a little further in all that marble, and a room the size of a city block somehow feels like it was built for your people and no one else. We’ve imagined weddings in that light. We could imagine milestone events, anniversaries, even the corporate evening that makes people forget they’re at a work function.

A venue like this does half the work the moment your guests walk in. We do the rest.

Punch your ticket. Save this for any celebration you’re planning at the historic @chiunionstation .

Last weekend with Kaile and Jack was nothing but love and support. When I tell you all their handwritten letters and photos to each guest present, had everyone in tears and laughter, I’m not exaggerating. When I found out later on that they had spent close to a year, picking one night a week and dedicating it to writing these heartfelt letters, I melted. They wed in the intimate venue river north of Chicago and it was just a beautiful day with all love surrounding them.

JC and Hannah.
.
What can I say? I have been photographing Hannah off and on so long that I don’t remember the year we started. Maybe 2013??
.
Either way, this was the first time I got to meet her fiance JC and I love Hannah… so I wanted to love JC…. And he was super cool!
.
These two met me at Chicago Union station this past weekend and we had a great time documenting their engagement sesh! Our hope is that my baby is cooperative and I can travel overseas to photograph their wedding…
.
Either way, I loved having the opportunity to spend time with them, see Hannah again and capture such a significant moment in her life! What an honor and privilege it is to tell the stories of people who entrust me with them throughout all their life moments! I’m truly honored every time.
.
My associate @_kaulamarie_ had my back this trip and she grabbed so much great Behind The Scenes of us that I had to share!
.
You two were great! Thank you again and congratulations!!!

Indus was deeply honored to serve an elaborate Indian dinner to over 300 guests at Chicago’s 2025 AIF Gala held in the ballroom at Union Station. Over one million dollars was raised to be donated to underserved communities across India. 🇮🇳 by @chiunionstation
