It’s so hard to believe that after 8 years, this chapter is finally over. Travel softball gave me so much more than just a game. It gave me lifelong best friends, memories I’ll never forget, and opportunities and experiences that shaped me into the person I am today. From 7 am warmups that nobody wanted to be awake for, to falling on the highway walking from sheetz, games of bullshit in the lobby, hotel stays during rained out tournaments, 7 Brew and Panera runs, and spending every weekend together, these are memories I’ll carry with me forever. I’ll never forget eating an entire pizza in between games when we were 11 and somehow getting the nickname “slices” for almost a year because of it (slide 16).There were big wins, heartbreaking losses, and so many lessons that went far beyond softball. Looking back now, I realize the best part was never just the game but it was the people. Thank you to every coach, teammate, and family who made these last 8 years so special. Thank you for every laugh, every inside joke, every road trip, and every memory. I’ll always be grateful for everything this sport gave me, but most of all, for the lifelong friendships that came with it. I wouldn’t trade these last 8 years for anything. #6out ❤️ taken in The Field by @chloe.confer
