sometimes, things don’t go to plan. and that’s exactly what laila’s story was like from the very beginning. she was born september 20th 10:09 am weighing 5lbs 15oz & 19in long. she passed the morning of september 22nd. she came out crying, which wasn’t expected of her. she kept fighting until her little body couldn’t take it anymore. i wish she never had to feel that physical pain, but it makes me at peace knowing that all she knew during her time on earth was pure love. i will forever be grateful for the people who showed us love and support in a time where i felt completely alone. a special thank you to Ryan House, where they kept our baby comfortable in her last few hours of life. they were so amazing to us and made sure that we got all the mementos from her life that we will cherish forever. also i hate that i even have to say this, please keep it kind in my comments & dms. i’ll just block you if you’re being rude anyways but it’s not something i care to read right now. this was the hardest thing i’ve ever been through. if you want to read more about how we got to this point, check my story & i’ll make it a highlight as well by @chloe___a

18 years ago today, the smiliest boy was born. i remember leaving school early to go meet my baby brother & i told everyone that would listen that my brother was born. he truly became the center of all of our lives. growing up i treated him like a little baby until he was too big for me to carry him on my hip. which was probably around 8 years old🤣. i remember leaving for college and i held him for the last time like a baby at the airport as we hugged goodbye. when i came home from college he was a little too big to hold lol. he was truly my little best friend. when he got sick, i remember walking into his hospital room and he had the biggest smile on his face (per usual). it shocked me because i had spent the whole day crying and here he was just smiling away! that’s blake for you. no matter what he would find a way to make you smile and laugh. every wednesday night i would come stay with him at the hospital when he was admitted and those are days i will never take for granted. we spent so much time talking, joking & laughing. i miss him so much and wish he was here to celebrate his 18th birthday. happy birthday blakey boy, i love you💜 by @chloe___a

to the smiley blakey boy:i remember the day you came into this world. i was so excited, telling everyone at school my baby brother was being born! from that day on you were my favorite little brother🩵 you were the smiliest, happiest baby ever. and that smile followed you your whole life. you could light up a room no matter what, you made us complete. life without you is going to be rough. you were the glue, always. your body fought so hard throughout this battle and i know you are at peace. i know Laila and grandpa welcomed you to heaven with open arms. i am so proud and honored to be your big sister. i will forever honor you and cherish all the moments we had together. you were such a blessing in all of our lives. you are so missed and so loved. i hope heaven has all the hot chocolate you could ever want. my baby brother, you are going to forever be remembered on this earth as a light in everyone’s lives. i love you. always.love, coco🧡 by @chloe___a

one of my greatest blessings in life is the opportunity to be a mother and love my babies unconditionally. the reason i am the mother i am today is because of my mom. she is the definition of resilience and strength. watching her go through the hardest year of her life and she is still the amazing woman ive always known is beyond inspiring. i’m forever honored to be blessed with such an amazing momma. happy mother’s day mom!! by @chloe___a

my little brother has a fund set up for his transplant, if anyone feels moved to donate we would all be so so so grateful. he officially starts the process to get his transplant today! please pray it goes smoothly. this is going to be the fight of his life and he needs all the prayers and love he can get. i’m so proud of him for remaining strong and as positive as one can be as a teenager going through leukemia. the link to donate to his COTA fund will be in my bio🧡 by @chloe___a
