Fortune Cookies 🥠 - Recipe (25-30 cookies).

🐮 Happy lunar new year! 🧧
It's been such a tough year for everyone. And this new year is also a bit different, no more celebrating with family at the restaurants, no more sitting with friends. But I believe it'll all end and go back to normal soon.
.
I was invited to an amazing colab to share an Asian inspired food for lunar new year. Thanks @cccscuriouskitchen @jensfoodlab @beyondbakingwithamandajane for hosting this meaningful colab!

Maple Buttercream Red Velvet Cake 🍁🍰 - Recipe (9-inch cake pan).
___________________________________
.
I messed up with this at the 1st attempt because of a food color that's not so good quality. So instead of red velvet, I got a ..."pink velvet cake". 🤦‍♀️
.
😑 Moral of the story, ALWAYS check ingredients before starting to make anything.
.
Luckily the ready-to-use buttercream frosting saved me from hours in the kitchen. 1 spread, and voila! 🎂 We got a beautiful cream layer for the cake.
.
They are on the baking supply shelf of Longo's, Wholefoods, Well.ca,... Check out their website for more @goodpantryfood, or https://goodpantryfood.com/
.
* Available in vanilla, chocolate, and maple flavor. by @chloe__tran
