To Miss JoJoLu,

I will always be your baby duck and you will always be my mama duck. Being your baby has been and will be the biggest pride of my life.

My mommy is the most radiant woman. Her closet is full of leather dresses, FreeBird boots, and her gold jewelry. She is certified in varying natural healing practices, and has given me the love I hold for spirituality and truth. A woman of the world, she loves culture. I memorized her rap music before I memorized school lessons. Her California roots remain at the forefront of her presence. My mommy is a lively performer of Raqs Sharqi - she has danced in her troop professionally to raise money for developing countries. Truly the mother of an anthropology major.

You are the best mommy in the whole cosmos. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My soul is full of our memories together - shopping trips, travels, past life regressions, shared conspiracies (truths!), snuggling in your bed, going with me to every football game, buying trinkets and toys, attending music festivals, gossiping, watching our shows, and navigating this odd planet together. Our routines are so special to me. My mommy is the reason I hold so much childhood wonder and whimsy. She makes my life bright and has continued to do so since her physical passing in this life.

I love you always, mommy. Thank you for making this world less scary. I have so many regrets and wishes for more time with you. I miss everything about you. I will always remember how warm your hands are and how fluid your aura is.

Everything in my life has been and will be for my mommy. I plan to live for the both of us, which includes more dancing, piercings, trips to Scotland, and learning her natural healing practices. She is the biggest inspiration in my life.

My mommy invented being a bad bitch. Anyone who knows her is quite aware of her fiesty and passionate soul. She is a badass, always fighting for the people and causes that she loves. My mommy has forever touched this world and all of the hearts in it.
