Black Coffee and Joburg Ballet brought “Unfolding” to SAFW AW27: heat-set texture and hand-manipulated pleats, made to move and built to last across seasons. @blackcoffeefashionza @joburgballet

POV: you had a seat on 22 October.

Three shows, one night. Nine New Talent Search designers opened the evening with @houseofjcleroux. Black Coffee and Joburg Ballet followed with "Unfolding". Sober Design House and THRRR...PHAAA! closed it out.

From the next generation to two decades of South African design, the full ecosystem was on one runway.

Where fashion finds its rhythm.

@blackcoffeefashionza meets @chloeb.22 in a collaboration where music, movement and design collide. Sculptural silhouettes, fluid lines and considered styling move from stillness to motion - proving that the right garment doesn’t just dress the body, it becomes part of the performance.

Sound. Style. Movement. One visual language that resonates with everyone.

An exciting moment for me, @blackcoffeefashionza, the dancers of @joburgballet and @safashionweek as ‘Unfolding’ is featured by EWN, The Times, News24 and IOL.

Grateful to have choreographed for this special collaboration @safashionweek ✨

“but I have tried in vain to be brave, at heart I’m dying of fright!”

A line from Micaëla’s aria showing her bravery to do what is right even though she is afraid in her attempt to save Don Jose from himself.
