I came to yakushima for it’s ancient forest and here’s the first pic I took when I arrived - I received a big fat forest heart 💚

Complete and utter gorgeous faerie land, unspoilt cedar and Cyprus tree temperate rainforest. Total bliss following the trails around and such calm, peace and serenity within.

Stepped into a faerie portal this afternoon

What a fabulous evening, connecting with loads of local artists in a gorgeous space, with food and music and lovely holidayesque vibes @artinthe__

Also my first time selling art as an artist and me, not just behind my Forgotten Fruits alter ego, though I will always be that too :-)

Water mint with water nymph

Have been working with both for some time now and delighted that I’ll be taking them with me to @artinthe__ event Thursday evening.

As an actual artist

Not sure how much space I’ll have or what I’ll have space for but it’s a gorgeous sounding evening with plenty of like minded individuals in a beautiful garden with nature inspired art.

I went back to Brixham on the full moon for my own childhood healing - it was somewhere we used to go often as kids on holiday. As a little girl I was always in my head, not ever really present or able to see beyond the minute detail.

Although I have few memories of childhood that translate into narratable stories, being there in person held so many memories for me! I remember the very rocks and stones, in dear detail - the smoothness of a handrail down perilously steep steps, rough slate and stone under bare feet as I clambered, fear of fallling and slipping high and using hands as much as feet and legs. Studiously attempting to avoid crustations underfoot as I navigated rock formations and rock pools, for fear of…I’m not even sure what but they gave me the heebie jeebies. Crystal clear water rippling over my feet, splashing up my legs, sand slipping away with the tide under my toes. Salt thick and rough on hair and skin.

So much that needed witnessing and re remembering somatically. So much held, far more in my body than in my mind, that was barely there.

Thank you to the earth and the ocean and the very rocks that were there with me in childhood - pulling all of it through with me now 🙏

Fell in love with Cowsic River again this evening - returning as the light starts to dance and play with the wood and the water and the earth. Feeling truly at home in this stunning setting, connected to naiads and dryads ; like a water pixie. Clambering up and down the waterfalling through little plunge pools.

Merrivale stone circle this morning, followed by a swim in Foggintor Quarry - Dartmoor you have been wonderous!

Literally in faerie heaven here in dartmoor’s Wistmans wood - an enchanted temperate rainforest

It looks as though I am amid it - I am very carefully poised on a rock at the very edge and have not entered the mossy, lichen filled beauty within.

It is still, a river runs through it, burbling at the base and deep with peace and calm.

Incredibly magical day @brockley_society ‘s Hilly Fields Festival

Team outing (& what a team - love you guys!!) as @forgotten___fruits & signing people up for upcoming events.

Also, first time I’ve really sold so much of my own art - and engaged with people doing so. Heart warmed that people want to know more about the stories around each piece - the stories I was taught as I made the art - the plant medicines - their little secrets - how I linked them to other things - the Forgotten Fruits - how I am expressed through my art - how my own healing is expressed through my art

Loads of ideas for our next venture

So many gorgeous chats with community today
