softball has been the only constant throughout my life. though it wasn’t always my favorite sport, it’s the most important to me without a doubt because the love for a sport doesn’t always come from the game itself, it comes from those around you. brewer softball is something that gave me more than i ever thought possible. i love this team more than anything, and ill miss you all forever. for the very last time, #17 out. by @chloedavis106

38 seconds. that’s how long my last shift as a pioneer was. i had only 38 seconds to process that i was in the last moments of my high school hockey career. i stepped on the ice, looked up to my parents, over to my bench, then down at my own jersey and skates, knowing it was the last time i’d wear them. then, 38 seconds later, when that final buzzer sounded, i stood still and stared up at the clock, just hoping that if i wished hard enough i could get just 38 more seconds to play this game i’ve grown to love so much. hockey was a sport i never thought id play, and it became the one that was hardest to say goodbye to. it feels like just yesterday izzie brought me to my first stick and puck, almost two years ago now, only two weeks after i bought my gear. and i can tell you now that i had no idea what i was getting myself into. but through blisters, tears, blood, and sweat, i loved every second. did i become some master hockey player in less than 20 months? no, not even a little. but i made memories and bonds that will last me a lifetime. i can safely say that playing hockey was one of the best decisions i ever made. this group of girls is so beyond special and i cannot believe i was lucky enough to be part of it. thank you to my parents, teammates, friends, coaches, and anyone else who helped me through this incredible journey. ill never forget being a pioneer, and i hope i haven’t reached the end of my hockey career. i love you pios. 💛🖤 #17 out. by @chloedavis106
