This semester the Lord has been kind to remind me of the comfort and joy that resides in Him & His presence. I’ve spent time and time again asking the Lord why things have to happen the way they do, why does comfort not come easy, why does life have to be this hard, why and why and why— & man has He showed that I might not get every answer for all my questions (this feels HORRIBLE for type A me) but what I will get is a reminder to not look here on earth but to look above. Comfort found in the Lord is abundant!! Joy found in the Lord is everlasting!! And the relationship He craves with His children is the only one that can truly fulfill us!! His love for us is unmatched & will carry and sustain you through all the whys, all the tears, all the uncomfort & will be a constant reminder that we have a Father who is our protector and doesn’t always give us what we want but always gives us what we needed.
This song by Chandler Moore has been played in almost all my times I’ve been asking the Lord why & has served as the most gentle reminder that His plans are better than mine. I think of even just the past semester and what I thought I wanted & can see how abundantly better the Lords plan served me. These specifics lyrics sit over my heart & make me thankful and humbled we have such a gracious & loving Father:
