This. One picture that captured the moment my life changed forever. A private prayer turned public proclamation and a visual representation of going from death to life. The water doesn't do anything of course, it's nothing magical or restoring, but it doesn't have to be. It is simply an outward expression of an inner decision and the next important step of following Christ's example in the form of baptism. The hours of wrestling with the spirit, hearing the word, seeing his work in other's lives, and having the desire to experience that relationship for yourself, not just a religion that you feel obligated to go through the motions with. That's where the real change happens. He really does write the best stories, and mine is full of mess-ups and second chances, but also abounding mercy, endless grace, and unfailing love. He earnestly pursues our hearts, but it's up to us to accept him and step off the throne of our lives and truly surrender complete and total control to him. It is true what he says that we will seek him and find him when we search for him with all our hearts. I'm forever grateful for the salvation he graciously offers that allowed me to make that decision for my life. My testimony is a long story of God's faithfulness in my life, but it can be summed up with this: "I sought the Lord, and he heard, and he ANSWERED and rescued me from all my fears." He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the same one who parted the sea to deliver his people, who sent his one and only son to die so that we may have a relationship with him and live in glory with him for all eternity. He brings out the stars by number; he calls all of them by name. Because of his great power and strength, NOT ONE of them is missing. He created the world and everything in it and said that it was good, but he created me, in his image, and said that I was very good. Our only job is obedience, his job is everything else; for we exist to KNOW him and to make him KNOWN. I'm so thankful for my people who have shown his love to me and led me to him through their Godly examples. Where to begin?

I'm one grateful girl for 14 of my most favorite months ever! Thank you to my girls who never missed a beat, kept the Mexican restaurants open, and never failed to put a smile on my face. Whether it was parades, dinner dates, PJ parties, karaoke, or our latest Tiktok dance, all five of you taught me how to love those around me better and always dance like no one’s watching. And did I mention I have the best directors in the world? My directors/real life fairy godmothers Alley, Jules, and Mama T, who controlled our chaos, turned their homes into tanning and nail salons, and opened their arms and closets, and taught me that shopping truly is a spiritual gift! I'm so thankful for my family and friends who gave up their time constantly and always made sure that no matter what I had to do I had a ride, the perfect outfit, and the biggest and loudest cheering section. My favorite part will always be how all of you showed up for me in all the ways, big and small, and made me feel like the only girl in the world. It is true what they say about it taking a village, and I’m forever grateful for mine.To my PTO, and pageant board, and a little town with a BIG heart that I’m fortunate enough to call home. I’m extremely appreciative of the year that I was given to represent you, and I hope that I served you well. Some might say that the judges gave me the job, but I give all the credit to MY JESUS. He answered a small prayer, that I had been praying for a long time, in a BIG way and allowed me to shine my light for his kingdom by serving and representing his people. I'll never forget the way that he proved himself time and time again, because in a season full of "No's" and "Not Yets" he taught me that "Not yet" is an answered prayer too, and “No” is just an acronym that means Next Opportunity. To the girl in the waiting, your “Yes” is coming! So while you wait for the door to open, praise him in the hallway. He’s worthy of ALL OF IT.

My buddy,
Can't believe it's been nearly 8 years since your earthly life ended and your heavenly one began. Many people have a "Sweet Sixteen" but yours is bittersweet. Today is a wonderful day to celebrate who you were, but my heart wishes we were celebrating who you are. I bet you'd be getting a truck and probably a speeding ticket in the next week or two, or missing a curfew because of one of your silly adventures with the boys. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of the time we all had together and grieve what could've been. I can't help but wonder if things would've been different had we known that our last day of second grade would've been your last day of school, or that the last birthday you would celebrate was 8 and not 80. I often think about all of us being 16 together and what an amazing friend, athlete, and teammate you were and would be. I wish you were here taking the ACT instead of laughing at the 50 you got on the spelling test you forgot to study for. I wish you were playing your music too loud in the parking lot, or honking at me for driving "too slow" to school (which for you would be less than 70.) I know you would be scoring touchdowns under the Friday night lights and hitting homers with the guys, sporting your typical number 99 instead of it being just a patch on my jersey. I may never get to see you as 16, but in my mind you'll always be that silly grinning 8 year old fun-loving friend that kept the teachers on their toes and kept the whole class laughing. There's a hole in my heart and a crooked smile that I long to see in the hallway and on the field that could only belong to you. Though these years have been full of days of missing you, and today is definitely no exception, at least we are one day closer to an eternity worshipping Jesus alongside you. My soul is put at ease when our Savior reminds me that the only scars where you are belong to the hands that brought you to your eternal home. I sure hope heaven is full of ice cream and baseball. ⏳ Sophomore Season,

What a ride!! Long hours late nights and everything in between. It wasn't always easy, but that's what makes it the most rewarding. You were full of close losses, big wins, and all the sweet moments in between! You taught me that great things NEVER come from comfort zones, and that you aren't who I am, only what I do. That it's not about the score, or stats, but rather the memories you make and the people you share it with, and I'm oh so grateful to have played a small part in history!! Forever grateful for my teammates, coaches, friends, family, and community for loving me so well and always showing up. For now, #22 out. ✌🏼✌🏼
