I think I’ve spent more time in a gym the past 14 years than anywhere else. From playing in elementary school, travel teams, AAU, high school, and now the end of my college career, basketball has been one of the biggest parts of my life. When I first came to Saint Francis, it was hard being so far away from home and I think everyone you asked would probably tell you I wouldn’t stay all 4 years. 4 years later and I couldn’t be more grateful for the people that were in my life the past years here that made staying so much easier. The friendships I’ve made throughout middle school, high school, and college with so many great people is something that I wish every single person could get to experience. Playing basketball with girls that are some of your best friends is one of the most fun and rewarding things you can do in life. I don’t know where I would be without basketball and even more so I don’t know where I would be without the amazing people I have met through this sport. I love every single one of you. Thank you to all of my coaches through the years and most importantly my family that has came to almost all of my games since I was a little girl. Thank you for letting me play the sport I love and thank you for supporting me throughout the past 14 years of my life. I wasn’t quite ready to never put on a jersey again, but God has a reason for everything and there’s a wonderful future out there for all those who don’t get to step on that court again.
