💜 I used a mobility aid for the first time at a con and here's how it went 💜

I hate being preseved as less then able to do anything. So attending a convention with a mobility aid and being this vulnerable honestly is so terrifying to me but I know that im not the only one whos experienced this vulnerability and fear so I wanted to share with you all. I also really wanted to keep this post in its rawest form because along with physical disabilitys I am extremely dyslexic and this leads to grammar issues and spelling issues and I feel that its important to highlight that these disabilities are visible as well.

How my Mobility Aid Helped:
Having my mobility aid was a absolute essential going into Game Con Canada 2026. It helped me with walking long distances through out the convention halls with more ease, it gave me a immediate spot to sit when I needed breaks from the convention hall and it took extra strain of my back and side where I normally would have carried a purse or backpack with its storage bag under the seat.

Deckboxes, Porgie, Camera, Makeup and Medication Bag

Things I learned about having my mobility aid at a con:
-Asking for accommodations is okay you are not a inconvenience
-There will always be another convention so flaring yourself up is not worth it
-You will not see or get to do everything not every booth will be accessible to you

Ive been trying to escape the horrors of this world more and more as of late and have found myself escaping into the world of pixie hallow. The world of Pixie Hallow has meant so much to me since I was a child. Each fairy has meant something to me at different points of my life from being obsessed with silvermist at age 13 and lining up at pixie hallow in disneyland to trying to meet her and always managing to meet Rosetta everytime instead until cast members made my dreams come true and got me to meet Silvermist 💙 to being obsessed with tinkerbell at age 14-16 and having all the merchandise to prove it. To now being in my 30's and just finding the world of pixie hallow comforting and a great form of escapism. Getting to read about Clarion before we see her in the Pixie Hallow films has been a absolute joy for the little girl in me whom always has loved this world. I am not yet done Wings of Starlight but I am so greatful for the escape this book has brought me.

🩺 Health Update 🩺

Well in today's health update I am sharing with you all that im having Foot surgery on both of my feet this friday. Its a minor surgery that will have a pretty short recovery time but will make all the difference in my ability to walk comfortably and go back to wearing normal shoes (fun fact ive been wearing crocs or oversized men's runners for the past three years and not by choice). In regards to my other health issues I am waiting on my MRI I have booked for november to confirm what is happening with my chronic pain symptoms and why I am experiencing full right side stabbing pain. I am just hoping to get answers and hoping that this surgery will help make my life a little more comfortable. taken in Alberta by @chloesfandomlife
