I start and end all my sessions with a wall ball routine, why?

Doing a short routine like this helps you get your stick warm, your eyes tracking, and your brain focused before stepping into full-speed reps. It builds confidence, rhythm, and muscle memory—especially when done consistently.

This quick variety wall ball routine is perfect to get your hands dialed in before practices or games. It’s only 120 reps, but it touches on key fundamentals like quick sticks, both hands, and catching at different levels.

Whether you’re warming up solo or with teammates, take 5 minutes and knock this out to elevate your play from the first whistle.

Postseason… my favorite time of year. It’s what all your hard work comes down to!

🧠 Confidence: helps you trust the work you’ve put in & helps your teamates trust you.
👀 Visualization: gets your mind right before the game, allows you to get rid of the anxiety and be confident in yourself and others.
😌 Staying present keeps you focused on the moment, no anxiety of what’s next when you are in the moment.
😎 Having fun takes the pressure off and lets you play free, allows for more creativity
💐 Sticking to your routine keeps things steady when the stakes are high, everyone’s routine for game day looks different, do what works for YOU.

This is where you show what you’re made of.

Want to score more goals? Start with the fundamentals.

Here are 4 quick tips to level up your shooting game 💪⬇️
	1.	Hands Away = More Power
Keep your top hand away from your body to create space for a full range of motion.
	2.	Step to Your Target
Step with your opposite foot and drive your body through the shot — power starts from the ground up.
	3.	Snap Your Wrists
A crisp wrist snap gives you more control and adds speed to your shot.
	4.	Change Levels
Fake low and shoot high — or the reverse. Keep the goalie guessing.

Want to take your game to the next level?

Just 10 minutes of wall ball a day can transform your stick skills and build confidence on the field! 👀 Here is a few tips and tricks that helped me! Focus on crisp passes, quick hands, and staying balanced—small daily reps lead to big game-time results. The more comfortable you are with your stick, the more you can focus on making plays instead of worrying about mistakes. Put in the work, and watch your game elevate!

Feeling nervous before games? A mental reset routine can be the game-changer you need to step onto the field with confidence.

Here’s a quick breakdown of how to mentally prepare:
👉 Breathe: Deep breaths to calm your nerves.
👉 Visualize: Picture yourself making great plays.
👉 Affirm: Repeat positive phrases like, ‘I am ready’ or ‘I’ve got this.’
👉 Personalize: Find what works for YOU—whether it’s music, stretching, or talking to a teammate.

My routine was odd, but it worked for me and had me locked in every game!

Confidence starts with preparation, both mentally and physically. Try this routine before your next game and let me know how it works for you.

DM me for more tips, personalized routines, or private lacrosse training sessions—let’s level up together.

The greatest concept I learned while seeing my sports psychologist was mindfulness. It allowed me to calm my everyday anxiety and especially my sport related anxiety.
-
Mindfulness is the practice of fully immersing yourself in the present moment, free from judgment. It involves being aware of your surroundings, sensations, and emotions, ultimately allowing for greater emotional control.
-
This awareness has enhanced my performance in sports, helping me focus on the here and now instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. While I benefited from working with a sports psychologist, you don’t need a professional to grasp mindfulness. With practice, you can quickly see improvements. Message me if you want to explore this further or need tips on enhancing your mindfulness!

Run test!! I went from not even being anywhere close to passing run test, to being able to succeed at a high rate. For me it made no sense why all of a sudden when I got into college, I no longer was good at running, I was no longer capable of passing run test. For me, it was my mental. I ALWAYS counted myself out, ALWAYS compared myself to myself and others, I always thought of the “can’t play until you pass” or “no gear until you pass” whatever rule they had put on it was ALWAYS on my mind, I FAILED before we even started.. After changing my mentality, changing my focus during the runs, not counting myself out before it started, and finding how I like to run the test, I was able to find myself succeeding.

From experience of being on a college team for 5 years, I would say the vast majority of people failing is mental and not because of their physical capabilities. Holding ourselves back before we even start because of the anxiety, the possible outcomes, the possible punishments for not passing, the list goes on and on. Learning to change the way you think, learning to lean on teammates, and learning to find what works for YOU during these test will allow you to growth in this area of your game.
