SUNDIAL SALON LOCAL ART EVENT ✦

An intimate evening of local art, community and creative exchange.

Sundial Salon is a grassroots arts fundraiser created to bring the Lower Mainland creative community together while supporting the next project of a local artist.

All ticket proceeds will go toward a recording microgrant for a Lower Mainland musical artist, giving them the opportunity to professionally record a project at Sundial Studios.

For the evening, a private home will become a small artistic salon, bringing together local artists, makers, musicians and art lovers under one roof.

And we’re especially excited to share that Kaya Rituals will be making its debut!

We’ll be bringing a small collection of our handcrafted ceramics, created around the relationship between art, function and the rituals of everyday life.

Come wander, look around, have a drink, socialize and spend an evening surrounded by local creativity.

After being so busy all summer, I didn’t realize how much I was holding in my body until I finally slowed down.

I felt kind of frozen, constantly moving from one thing to the next, but never really stopping to check in with myself.

So I went to @solamassagestudio for a lymphatic drainage massage with RMT Andi and it was honestly such a nice reset.

One thing I really like about Sola is their philosophy of “the art of rest.” It’s a reminder that massages doesn`t have to be reserved for when something hurts. Sometimes you just need to slow down and give your body some attention.

And after a very full summer… I definitely needed that!

In a society that celebrates quick indulgences, instant gratification and things made to be cheap and disposable, pottery (inspired by Portugal) has taught me to appreciate the opposite.

The beauty of slowing down. Of creating something with your hands. Or understanding that imperfections, time and intention are part of what makes something beautiful.

I think Europe is something I didn’t fully understand or resonate with until I got a little older. Now, I find myself noticing the art in everything: the centuries-old buildings, the craftsmanship, the culture, the details that have survived generations. There’s an almost unwritten energy held within these places.

Maybe pottery has simply taught me how to see it. by @chloeyvr

After the pandemic and countless social media posts, celebrity moments, and destination weddings , Lake Como has become the place to see. It’s easy to wonder…is it overrated?

Honestly, part of me wished it were. 😅

Because despite the crowds and the hype, this place is genuinely breathtaking. The lake, the mountains, the villas, the little villages, it really looks and feels magical.
