If this Christmas was hard for you, you're not alone.
I had some really nice belly laughs and good food yesterday, but I really want to acknowledge that it's been hard this christmas season. I've been missing my grandma every day in the lead up to Christmas, and it hasn't felt the same without her. And it can be hard, seeing everyone posting about their seemingly 'perfect' day. But the truth is, you are only seeing what they want you to. And I just wanted to remind you of that. Stop comparing your day or family to theirs
It's okay if this Christmas was hard for you, for whatever reason ❤️

Disclaimer!! I'm not telling you to do this in a way that endangers you!
But...this video only exists because I saw a girl walking towards me on my walk who seemed lovely and took my headphones off to say hi. We ended up having an awesome chat, and she's in Australia on a working visa from Germany, which I think is really cool! We have a similar adventurous spirit and it enriched my arvo sunset walk so much.

I think we (I'm talking mostly about our generation, but its applicable to everyone) can often be closed off to starting conversations with people who's company we may enjoy. I've made so many friends from smiling at people and asking about their day - it's really only scary until you get used to it! I encourage you, even if you don't start a conversation, at least get off your phone and be open to interacting with people (the ones you feel safe to do so with, not the creepy ones!) When you're on a walk, or standing in line for coffee, give someone the blessing of your smile
You'll be surprised how many people you meet and interesting stories you'll hear just by being open to it by @chlooooneill
