POSTS STORIES REELS
At the centre of our world is 110 Hatfield Street. Part store, part clubhouse, part ongoing conversation. A place where strangers greet each other’s dogs before introducing themselves. Where muddy paws are normal. Where people stay longer than they planned to. Bring your dog, try everything on, grab a coffee, snap a photo and let your dog enjoy their moment of local celebrity. The store was never designed to feel transactional. It was designed to feel lived in. See you soon 🧡 by @chommiescom
Chommies is stepping into a new chapter at the @ozcfarm market’s beautiful, purpose-built new home at Dock Road & Granger Bay Boulevard. You’ll find us right at the entrance, a position that feels both symbolic and deeply meaningful for our brand. This market is where we first met our community. Where dogs tugged their humans toward our colour-drenched world. Where conversations shaped who we became. Watching it evolve into a world-class space while holding onto its spirit makes being part of this moment truly special. To mark the move, we’re debuting an entirely new Chommies stand, alongside a dedicated @chommies_mohair stand, both designed to be warm, tactile, lived-in, and unmistakably dog-people friendly. We can’t wait to greet old friends, meet new ones, and welcome every creature who comes trotting through the doors of the new market. 📍 Corner Dock Road & Granger Bay Blvd Wednesday Nights: 16:00 - 21:00 Saturday: 08:00 - 14:00 Sunday: 08:30 - 14:00 #Chommies by @chommiescom
Funny meeting you here. Our new collection, Small World, is about to launch. Ahead of Small World, we have launched 6 limited edition postcards. Collect them all … and win a new Le Tou Tou purse from the new collection. How does it work? Our six once-off illustrations are becoming Small World collectables. Six illustrations, six postcards. Pick up a complimentary Chommies paper passport from one of our locations, and get a postcard & a stamp. Visit our three locations to collect a stamp at each and find six of the illustrations. Two designs are waiting at each stop. - House of Chommies, Gardens - Chommies at Simondium - Chommies at OZCF The sixth is our wildcard. You’ll have to find us for that one. Keep an eye on our Stories for clues to where the Chommies team and dogs will be. Your final stop is the market. Find our world map and add where you’re taking Small World next. Bring your passport. Bring someone you know. You might meet someone you don’t. by @chommiescom
Chommies is featured in The World’s Most Beautiful Shops by Paula Flynn from @the_shopkeepers and it’s a privilege to be included. We have always believed there is something irreplaceable about experiencing things in person. We wanted a space where people could feel the materials, see the colours, meet the craftsmanship and connect with the stories behind each piece. The House of Chommies was designed as a welcoming space inspired by Cape Town’s relaxed way of life, where people and their dogs can spend time together, discover beautiful things and feel part of a community. More than a store, it is an expression of the Chommies world: thoughtful, colourful, dog-friendly and rooted in a holiday state of mind. Come and visit us. There’s something really special about sharing your craft. Last week, we opened the doors to our Cape Town studio for Design Week, welcoming @designsafaris for a closer look at the hands and processes behind Chommies. From cutting and gluing to edge staining and rope whipping, it was a chance to share the joy of making, to inspire and be inspired in return. Thank you for stopping by. by @chommiescom
Something new is coming. Tell your dog. We’ve been busy playing with colour, exploring textures and putting our hands to work on something special. Dreamed up in Cape Town, our latest collection is inspired by the things we choose, the people who love them too and the unexpected places our paths cross. Small World. Coming soon. by @chommiescom
Chommies x Garden Day. If home is where the heart is, it has to be wherever the dogs are. And this Garden Day, that was at our new home in Simondium, where we gathered to celebrate dogs, good food and all the beautiful things made and grown by hand. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the people who shared their craft and their afternoon with us. It felt more like a gathering than an opening, which is exactly what we hoped this place would be. We left with full hearts and a camera roll full of dog pics. Just the way we like it. A big thank you to: Bubbles: @springfieldestate Furniture: @erasmusandco Green Juice: @oumeulbakery Doggie Treats: @thedoggiedoughco Cordial: @twoinabushrooiboscordial Live painting: @ge.verf Stain remover pen: @yourgoodbasics by @chommiescom

It’s Garden Day. Let’s plant some seeds, get down on all fours and pull some weeds. Hands in the dirt, paws in it too. There’s always, somehow, more work to do. Take a break in the shade of a tree. A little more sunshine, just you and me. Because gardens take work, and good things take time. But a day spent outside is a day spent just fine. The Fezzy Adjustable Collar. Made for dogs that know it’s their world, we just live in it. by @chommiescom
Gifted. If Lola can’t destroy it, nothing can. The @chommiescom lead has now done bush walks, ranger patrols, a rhino sighting and more mud than I’d like to talk about. Still going strong. It doesn’t pull, I can wear it hands-free, and the personalised charm is honestly the cutest bit 🐾✨ Built for dogs who actually go places. by @chommiescom
A few Chommies boxes have been making their way around a certain farm. If you know these gardens, you’ll know exactly where we are. Any guesses? Coming soon. by @chommiescom
