Everything starts somewhere.

For Chordality, it started with the ChordCrafter, a homemade synthesiser that allows you to play chords with a single button, inspired by the Piano-accordion and Omnichord.

Since then, I’ve studied audio engineering and worked as an app developer. This year I used my software skills to create what i was trying to build back then: a fun an interactive way of exploring harmony.

That project is Chordality.

Now it’s been downloaded thousands of times all over the world, and I’ve been humbled by the reception. Thank you to everyone who has left a review or email, your comments are so motivating, and I’m glad that this tool has allowed you to discover new sounds.

An instantly recognisable chord progression by @deadmau5 and @kaskade for “I remember”.
I still remember the first time I heard this track, and whole of random album title. It inspired me to study music production, and eventually led me to creating chordality.

I honestly didn’t expect ANYONE to download this app when I first released it. I was only aiming to make a tool for myself. But, the idea has really resonated, and Chordality is now at 10k downloads! I’ve been playing music all my life, but I always found it difficult to visualise chord progressions - I learn by playing and exploring.
