1 week until the NYC premier of “Double Consciousness” for WestFest dance festival!

This work is an embodiment of W.E.B. Du Bois’ writings on “double consciousness” (The Souls of Black Folk). Against America’s persistence to label Blackness a problem, this dance uses a projected self to interrogate the unbearable condition that is being “torn asunder.”
