I’ve been highlighting my vinyl sets here most recently. So I figured it was time to show some BTS to my digital sets. ⁣
⁣
Digital djing offers so many possibilities but for me sync isn’t something I have interest incorporating as a foundation to my sets. ⁣
Developing a sharp ear and quick reflexes is what makes DJing fun. You start out not knowing anything. Zero skills. ⁣
⁣
Through repetition, mistakes, practice,observation, and patience. You learn.⁣
As you continue, you see your progress and things become easier. It’s a process. A craft. A skill. ⁣
⁣
Yes digital djing is easier but I’m not looking for a machine to do the mixing more for me, but instead incorporate the new possibilities into the craft/skill that I practice (hot cues, loops, stems, etc…).⁣

This Friday I’ll be doing an extended set for the cosmixer (a dance music industry hangout) at @stargazerbar. ⁣
6-7p is the network mixer. ⁣
⁣
7-11p is a dance party. I’ll be doing an extended set along with residents: @loveathleticsmusic & @viv_ala_viv!⁣

Music wise you can expect a blend of dance music from me: House, Italo, Boogie, and Disco 🪩 🪩 by @chorizofunk
