Legacy in motion ⚡️👊

10 years in the game for one night under lights, and I'd do it all over again. One of the best nights of my life, and I'm trying to top it for my UFC debut... 50 gs baby!

I got no excuses.

I had a great camp, the easiest cut I’ve ever had to 135, and a game plan to beat the style in front of me.

I lost sight of the game plan, didn’t make the adjustments I needed to, and that’s on me. Fucking burns, but I know this will make me a better fighter and a better man.

I’ve lost before. In the cage, in the gym, and in life. Every time, I’ve found a way to bounce back, come back stronger, and I’ll do it again.

I’m grateful for the life I get to live and everything this fight game has given me. The opportunities, the experiences, and most importantly, the people it’s brought into my life.

I can’t thank the men in this photo enough. They’ve helped make me a better fighter, but more importantly, a better man. I’m lucky to have you guys in my corner.

To everyone who reached out, checked in, and showed me love — thank you. I appreciate every single one of you.

This isn’t the result I wanted for my UFC debut, but it’s part of my story. I’ll learn from it, get back to work, and come back better. by @chovancekmma

Yes, that’s actually his nickname 🤣🎣

Cody Chovancek is 9-0 as a Bantamweight with six finishes 🙌 Dana White handed him a UFC contract on the Contender Series in September 2025 after a third-round knockout, but he has spent the past 13 months recovering from a knee injury. Tomorrow in his home country, the Ontario native finally makes his first walk to the Octagon 🇨🇦

After the fight, the UFC Debut Patch will be removed from Chovancek’s gear, placed into a 1-of-1 autographed trading card and randomly inserted into a pack 🔥 by @chovancekmma

Big shoutout to @stc_canada for the support throughout this camp! 👊💙

My martial arts career started alongside my trades career, so this partnership means a lot to me. Proud to stand alongside a great group of people who are helping guide the next generation toward rewarding careers in the skilled trades. 🛠️

🥊 UFC EDMONTON: Keep your eyes on the bantamweight division because Canada’s own undefeated prospect Cody “The Best Fisherman in MMA” Chovancek is officially ready to make waves! Coming off an electrifying contract-winning finish on Dana White’s Contender Series and training out of Niagara Top Team, the 28-year-old powerhouse is bringing his fierce striking and relentless energy straight to Rogers Place. Set to lock horns with SuYoung You, Chovancek is ready to put on a show in front of a hardcore home-country crowd. Let’s see if he reels in another statement win on fight night! 🇨🇦🔥. Huge shoutout to Unified MMA, where Cody proved his dominance and captured the Bantamweight championship, as well as BTC Fight Promotions for laying the groundwork during his early rise through the Canadian regional scene.
