And sometimes, you have to acknowledge that you may be the reason someone cut you out of their life.

Maybe you hurt them. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe you didn’t understand the damage you caused until it was too late.

Part of growing is being willing to own that. Apologize when you can. Make amends where they’re welcomed. Pay your penance. Learn from it. Then give people the space and time they need to heal.

Sometimes time heals old wounds and people find their way back to each other. Sometimes the apology and the changed behavior are enough to repair what was broken.

And sometimes… they aren’t.

You have to learn to be at peace with that outcome too.

Accountability doesn’t guarantee forgiveness, reconciliation, or another chance. Sometimes the lesson is the closure.

Own what you did. Become better because of it. Forgive yourself. Wish them well.

And keep moving forward.
