Most of us don’t struggle with giving.

We struggle with what happens after we give.

When our kindness isn’t reciprocated, disappointment can quietly reveal something in our hearts: an expectation we didn’t even realize we had.

Psychology calls it the reciprocity norm; our natural tendency to expect kindness to be returned. It’s part of how we’re wired as humans.

But Jesus teaches us to love, give, and serve, not because people deserve it or because they’ll repay us, but because we have already received far more than we could ever earn from Him.

27 reasons could never fully capture what you mean to me, Daddy, @the_merchant___ but today, I tried.

As I reflected on your life and impact, I realized that every lesson, every correction, every prayer, every sacrifice, every word of encouragement, and every act of love has contributed to who I am becoming today.

This video contains 27 reasons why I love and honor my man of God. Not because he is perfect, but because he has faithfully poured himself out for the growth of God’s people. Through his teachings, counsel, prayers, example, and fatherly care, he has pointed me to Jesus again and again.

Thank you for seeing me, believing in me, challenging me, correcting me, and encouraging me to keep building.

Happy Birthday, Daddy @the_merchant___ Your labor is not in vain, and my life is living proof of it. šŸ–¤

With love,
Your daughter,

ā€œBefore I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.ā€ — Psalm 119:67

Not every affliction we go through is because the enemy is attacking us. Some afflictions are consequences of our own disobedience.

Sometimes God has already told us what to do, but we choose our own way. He warns us, but we ignore Him. He gives us His Word, but we fail to keep it. And sometimes, it is only after experiencing the consequences of our choices that we finally realize, ā€œGod was right.ā€

One reason we end up in this place is laziness.

Many believers don’t invest enough time in God’s Word to know what He is communicating to them. How will you know God’s instructions for a particular season if you don’t spend time studying His Word?

God doesn’t only communicate through dreams, visions, or prophecies. He communicates through His Word. And if we neglect the Word, we can easily miss His instructions and walk contrary to what He is saying.

Another reason is stubbornness.

Sometimes, we know the Word. We’ve heard it. We understand what God is asking of us. But we simply don’t want to apply it. We don’t want to live by it. We deliberately choose our own way.

And sometimes, God allows us to learn the hard way.

The Psalmist says, ā€œBefore I was afflicted I went astray.ā€ In other words, I wandered from God’s Word, and the affliction brought me back.

There are lessons we could have learned through obedience, but because we refused to obey, we learned them through experience.

And when God allows us to face the consequences of our choices, it doesn’t mean He has abandoned us. Sometimes, His correction is an expression of His mercy. He uses what was meant to turn us away from Him to bring us back to His Word.

My prayer is that we become people who don’t always have to learn the hard way. People who are attentive when God speaks, willing to obey when He instructs, and committed to keeping His Word even when our feelings tell us otherwise.

Because sometimes, the very thing we are asking God to deliver us from is something we could have avoided if we had simply kept His Word.

THE PRESSURE SYNDROME
SEASON 1: PRESSURE FROM SELF | FINALE

And just like that, we’ve come to the end of Season 1: Pressure From Self. 🄹

We’ve talked about the pressure to succeed, the pressure to prove yourself, the pressure to compare, the pressure to make things happen, the pressure of our own expectations, and today, we’re talking about the pressure to be perfect.

And if there’s one thing I hope this season has taught us, it’s that not every pressure deserves a response.

Sometimes the pressure is coming from the world around us.
Sometimes it’s coming from people we love.
And sometimes… it’s coming from us.

We place expectations on ourselves. We create timelines. We compare our journeys. We demand perfection from ourselves and then wonder why we’re exhausted.

As we close this season, I want to hear from you. šŸ«¶šŸ¾

Which episode of Season 1 spoke to you the most?
What kind of pressure are you currently navigating?
And is there something about pressure that you want me to talk about?

Drop your questions and topic suggestions in the comments or send them to my DMs. I may use them in the next season. šŸ‘€

Season 1 is officially wrapped. Season 2 is coming.

Until then, remember:

You don’t have to become everything everyone expects you to be. Become everything God wants you to be, everyone else will adapt!

See you in Season 2šŸ¤ taken in Michigan, USA by @chri_sieeeee

Let’s clear my drafts 🤣

I’ve been getting quite a few questions lately about Grad School, so I thought, why not answer them all at once? šŸ˜‚

I’m gathering questions and I’ll be doing a Q&A session soon where I’ll share my experience so far and answer as many of your questions as I can.

So, slide into my DMs if you have a question! šŸ«¶šŸ½

THE PRESSURE SYNDROME SERIES
SEASON 1: PRESSURE FROM SELF
Episode 5: Pressure to make things happen

Sometimes the pressure to succeed turns into the pressure to make things happen.

You know what God has said, you know the promise you received, and now you feel like you have to somehow bring it to pass yourself. So you start forcing doors, manipulating circumstances, rushing the process, or taking matters into your own hands.

But there is a line between contending for what God has spoken and trying to accomplish God’s promise by the arm of the flesh.

Warfare does not mean striving.
Faith does not mean forcing.
And waiting does not mean doing nothing.

The question is: Am I moving by the wisdom and will of God, or am I trying to make God’s word happen on my own terms?

Let’s talk about the pressure to make things happen. šŸ¤ taken in Michigan, USA by @chri_sieeeee

THE PRESSURE SYNDROME SERIES
|| SEASON 1: PRESSURE FROM SELF ||
Episode 4: Pressure from Our Own Expectations

Sometimes the pressure comes from the version of ourselves we think we should have become by now.

The goals we set.
The timelines we created.
The life we imagined.
And the constant feeling that we are somehow behind.

But not every delay is failure. Not every detour is a setback. And you do not have to become everything you imagined overnight. Have patience!

Give yourself room to grow.
Give yourself room to learn.
Give yourself room to become.

You are not behind. You are becomingāœŒšŸ½
God definitely has a plan for you! Be patientšŸ«¶šŸ¼

The need to constantly prove yourself can be exhausting. Sometimes, you’re not even competing with anyone; you’re just trying to convince yourself and everyone else that you’re enough.

But why do we feel the need to prove ourselves in the first place?

Let’s talk about itāœŒšŸ½

APPRECIATION POST PART TWO — HOW IT ALL BEGUN (SWIPE THROUGH)
When I begun my service after my undergraduate degree, the Lord gave me an instruction to share my quiet time on my status everyday. I was already using the Martyrs Devotional my friend @charlotteafful.a sent to me but I wasn’t submitted under the house. (Check my previous post for detailsšŸ˜‚)
I was running away from this for the longest time.
Fun fact about me is, I will always post myself on my WhatsApp story, every single day. There wasn’t a day I didn’t post myself. I could post random videos talking about anything that comes up. Meanwhile I had received this instruction.
I was thinking, i wasn’t fit to share the word of God and all of those weird thoughts the enemy usually brings to mind.
It was not until one day, God through my sister @charlotteafful.a reiterated the same instruction again. That was when it dawned on me to pay heed to itšŸ˜…(I was too stubborn CharleyšŸ˜‚)
That one koraaa I was thinking plenty but I started.
It was about few days to Anapsuxis 2025.
I had lowkey meant the program cos I couldn’t go the previous year. I honestly didn’t know where that hunger came from but there was just something that brought me so much joy about the program. I didn’t want to miss it.
I went over to see Ma Charlotte and Ma Albright and we left for it.
I felt some kind of peace and satisfaction throughout Sir’s ministration.
Mind you, before then I had already received an instruction in a dream to go and submit under Sir ooo. But hmm, I didn’t go….mercy!😪
(Check next caption for more detailsāœŒšŸ½šŸ˜‚)

After Anapsuxis 2025, God instructed me through a dream again to go and submit under my father in the faith Rev Elorm John Tetteh @the_merchant___
I told my Ma Charlotte about the two dreams I had and she went to tell Sir. Thank you sister me @charlotteafful.a for that.
Fast forward, I joined discipleship class.
Charley, side note; There’s so much to learn in Rev Elorm’s discipleship school, so much truth! Take advantage and join.

One hot afternoon, I went to the Maths Computer Lab during lunch to record a video for my quiet time as I used to do and I saw a text from Rev Elorm. He asked me ā€œEwur taken in Michigan, USA by @chri_sieeeee

Some people have been such a blessing to me that I would be ungrateful if I didn’t stop and say, ā€œThank you, Lord, for sending me this person.ā€ And my man of God, @the_merchant___ is one of those people.
He has been a great blessing to my life. Not because he has taken the place of God, but because he has consistently pointed me back to God. His life, his love, his discipline, his sacrifice, his pursuit of Christ, have all been a living demonstration of what it means to follow Jesus.
Scripture says:
ā€œAnd we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.ā€ — 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13
There is a reason Scripture tells us to esteem them.
But I think we’ve become so afraid of ā€œidolizing menā€ that we’ve forgotten how to honor men.
And sometimes, if we’re being honest, what we call discernment is actually pride.
We don’t understand the discipline of honor.
Honor doesn’t mean you worship the vessel.
Honor means you recognize the treasure God has placed in the vessel. Honor doesn’t take glory from God.
It gives glory to God for the people He has strategically placed in our lives. Because if God can use a man to teach you, correct you, love you, discipline you, pray for you, and continually point you toward Christ, why would you be too proud to acknowledge the blessing?
Paul said, ā€œImitate me, as I also imitate Christ.ā€ (1 Corinthians 11:1).
The instruction was never to worship Paul.
It was to recognize Christ being modeled through him.
And that is what my man of God has been to me.
He didn’t replace Jesus in my life.
He helped me see Jesus more clearly.
So yes, I will honor him.
I will celebrate him.
I will speak well of him.
I will thank God for him.
Not because I have forgotten who God is, but because I have learned to recognize the people God uses.
Some blessings come in the form of people. And when God sends you one, don’t let pride make you too blind to call the blessing what it is.
To my father in the faith, Rev Elorm John Tetteh, @the_merchant___ Thank you for saying yes to call. Double honor Daddy!šŸ–¤ taken in Michigan, USA by @chri_sieeeee

Hi there šŸ¤—
Allow me to reintroduce myself.
I am Christabel Abena Konadu of the Most High — Yehovah! šŸ¤
Currently on a mission to change the narrative.
This one is for the ladiesšŸ«¶šŸ¼

Who said classy has to mean boring?
Who said decent has to mean basic?
Who said modest can’t be a whole LOOK? šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

There’s something powerful about knowing that you can be beautiful without being overly exposed, feminine without being provocative, and stylish without having to prove anything.

You can be covered and captivating.
Soft and striking.
Decent and absolutely unforgettable.

You don’t have to reveal more to be seen.
You don’t have to compromise decency to be classy.

Decency doesn’t take away from your beauty.
It refines it.

You can cover up and still captivate the room.
You can be modest and still make a statement.
You can be decent and still be THAT girl. ✨

Decency is, in itself, a statement of class.

And perhaps that’s the narrative I’m here to change; that being a decent woman means you have to dim your beauty, your femininity, or your style.

No, ma’am.
We can be decent, have standards AND still serve looks on a daily basisšŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ¤
