It’s been a rough couple weeks for me. Without my dad I wouldn’t have anything. He went to Vietnam as a paratrooper for the army in the 60’s where he excelled. He was a part of The 5th special forces, a green beret and I honestly just learned it. We knew he was in the army, He just never told stories about it. That service paid for his degree in electrical engineering and a arts degree. He taught electrical engineering in the late 70’s and early 80’s for Siemens and Stromberg Carlson among others. He built our house from the ground up in the 80’s-90’s and rebuilt it in 2008 after being hit by a tornado and being thrown from his house into a tree. He accomplished so much and I hope to be able to accomplish half as much in my lifetime. He is the only person in my life that I have been able to count on every time I’ve needed help and now he is gone. Thanks for everything you taught me and I’m sorry for not listening to everything the first time you tried to tell my stubborn ass. To be fair Dad it’s your fault, you made me this way. by @chris.considine

About 23 years ago I was in Pennsylvania visiting my grandmother. I was bombing a hill when I fell and knee slid across a broken bottle. I cut my knee open and made my first trip to the ER. Mom was really mad and ran my board over with her car....As planned, grandma took me to Fairmans skatepark the next day for a @powellperalta demo where I met Jon Comer briefly. I explained to him what had happened the day before after he seen me limping around the demo. He went to the van and returned with a new deck for me! It REALLY meant a lot at the time and I’ll never forget it. He was also a huge inspiration for overcoming tough situations! RIP @jon_comer #joncomer #joncomerforever by @chris.considine
