I'm gonna be real guys. I was having a archery freakout. They say that outdoors is THE season that matters. I am severely under practiced in outdoors. It's very discouraging, and on top of that practice outdoors is hard to do in Vegas.

Wooow learning basic edits! Also learning to appreciate outdoors. I would say, that we archers in the desert "say" we like outdoors, but secretly prefer indoors. Nope that's just me.

I don't nearly shoot as much as I do indoors, because here in the valley, just like the number of pro shops, we only have 2 options for outdoor ranging. @lasvegasarchers in the south and @ccsc_archery_ in the north . Sorry to say LVA, but CCSC is much closer to me. Only problem is CCSCs odd hours. Wed-thurs 2pm-10pm and Fri 8am-2pm (sorry if I got that wrong off the top my head). All of those times are mostly during my work hours except when I can get there at 7pm Wed,Thurs. So realistically I have 2 days of practice a week outdoors. How I ENVY places with practice fields with GRASS and TREES.

Anyway doing my best to keep up with @hellokitty_archer since our mixed team was cancelled. We promised to beat the pros.... We can do it.....right? taken in Clark County Shooting Complex by @chris.does.archery

Just a guy, his bow and arrows and 20 yards. When it's 9:30 at night and you know you should be practicing outdoors, you get creative with the targets.

120 arrows is nowhere near pro volumes of practice, but it's what I could squeeze out after 9 hrs at work. Still grateful to @impactarchery for choosing me as a shop shooter and giving opportunities to train in my off hours, because that's the only time I have with a full time job.

Next stop is outdoor training to prep for Salt Lake Summit. See you all there.

Quick cut from this past week.

State indoor went better than expected. Shout out to @impactarchery family, pulling all the medals. Shout out to @vegeta_archer , when I heard you joined the lineup I had to push myself harder. Shout out to @mitsukizzy, first competition ever and taking first, hope you compete more even if it's just once a year.

Vegas shoot went about as expected this year. The real challenge of Vegas is getting in the rest between shooting times, spectating, shopping and practice.

Day 1: 290
Day 2: 293
Day 3: 295
End was 10th place in flight 9

Even though I didn't win a monetary prize, the real win was the improvement from last year from flight 17 to 9. Shout out to @hellokitty_archer , my mixed teammate, get some rest because we got outdoors next!

When visiting Vegas for the first time, don't needlessly spend money at the hotel. Take a quick walk outside and save a little $$$

My first ever attempt at recording for social media. Regardless of how I look or sound, important information!

Humbling weekend finishing 50th out of 103 in the compound senior division in the @usaarchery Indoor target nationals 2026. Getting good in compound archery happens fast, but to be the best, it's a long road that takes dedication and determination. Looking ahead to more competitions.

Day2. In a religious place like SLC had to go to Sunday mass. The cathedral was beautiful. I wanted to stay longer to just meditate, but the next mass was soon. I felt a little better prepped.

Ended the day with about my personal best. Lots of reality checks where I realize me shooting 2 years means I won't be as good as people shooting 10+ years or grew up around it, but I want to be that good.

I was so fired up to start more training, that I decided to stop at the range @impactarchery AFTER driving back. Got in at 10:18pm to practice. I would have stayed all night if I didn't have work the next day.

Eyes on Vegas shoot now.

Day 1 of Indoor Nationals in Salt lake city. My first time traveling for competition. I do not recommend driving the day of, too many body aches, and mentally you just might not be ready. I've never been to a National event but Pros are in the same pools as us amateurs, so for me, I felt the anxiety in this big fish little pond situation.

Lesson is to never trust your friends with silly photos. Just maybe @usaarchery might repost it and you look very unflattering. Only serious pictures now. taken in Easton Salt Lake Archery Center by @chris.does.archery
