Today I said goodbye to Austin Christian Fellowship after 12.5 years of serving on staff. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as Prayer Pastor of this amazing church. I've had the privilege of being part of an incredible staff, working alongside some truly amazing and serving some of the of the most incredible people I have ever met. I leave ACF with nothing but great memories, lifelong friendships and complete confidence God will continue to bless this church. I know ACF will continue to pray and be a great church. I leave having led 2156 corporate prayer meetings and I know they won't stop there. God bless ACF and THANK YOU so much church. It has truly been an honor.
As for the next chapter...stay tuned. What I can tell you is that I'm going to continue to lead prayer meetings. You can DM, text or email me: chris@christapken.com for the new ZOOM link for our noon-1pm M-F daily prayer meeting. That starts tomorrow. For everything else, I'll keep those who are interested updated as we go. by @chris.tapken

Proud of Tate and excited for his next chapter at Texas Lutheran University as a student athlete. As a Dad, it’s very unique and a huge blessing for both my sons to play on the same college basketball team!! Go Bulldogs ⚫️🟡 by @chris.tapken

Yesterday we celebrated #1900 days of prayer at Austin Christian Fellowship. We have Prayer Barn, a dedicated place of prayer, where we stop at noon each day and pray. If you need prayer, message me. by @chris.tapken

A chapter of my life called AAU basketball has closed after 6 consecutive years and over 200 games. It’s been a great journey and I wouldn’t change it for anything. My boys made great friends and experienced some of the best basketball in the country. It wasn’t always easy and they had to overcome many challenges which will serve them well down the road of life. But one of the things I’m most proud of is both boys were loyal to one program and one coach which is really rare in 🏀world. Next summer, I’m going to miss those loud gyms, uncomfortable bleachers, stinky shoes in my car and sweaty jerseys in the hotel room, the downs of bad losses and thrills of big wins. But as I reflect today, I’m just really grateful for Teddy & Tate and AAU basketball road we got to travel on together. by @chris.tapken

It’s important to celebrate mile markers in ministry and in a church. 6 years 5 months and 18 days ago we started a daily prayer meeting at Austin Christian Fellowship. Today was our 1800th corporate prayer meeting. God is good and looking forward to the next 1800. by @chris.tapken
