Today I went to see the Cezanne exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago before it closes in a few days. I am not really a fan of Cezanne’s work but a friend suggested I go...so I did. I have to say that I was really captivated by his use of color. He masterfully used shades of the same color, often juxtaposed with other warm or cool tones to create depth…or even just to express a mood that captured the feel of a season or place. I am glad I gave the show a chance and went. by @chris__h_s
