One of the highlights of 2025 was getting to see @stopwalkband and my show “First, Contact” produced as part of @theatrenowny’s Sound Bites XII.

Check out Sound Bites XIII this year on May 4th @symphonyspace (7pm). It’s a wonderful buffet of new musical theater offerings, and a great way to support emerging writers and performers. I’ll be enjoying it from the auditorium this year. Hope to see you there!

What bar basement is this? Not sure. When and why did I take this selfie? No idea. But while we’re on the subject of nights at bars, you have a couple of chances to catch me on the piano this coming week! Sunday (7/20) from 9-close I’ll be at @theduplex_nyc, and Tuesday (7/22) I’ll be at The Monster as usual, from 11pm-close. Come sing with me, and while you’re at it, remind me to take more pictures so I have better ones to share 🙃. #nycpianobar #pianobarentertainer by @chris_blacker

I’m doing lots of piano bar-ing in a short period of time this week! If you want to come sing with me, I’ll be playing Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30-9:30 at @mariescrisisofficial, and from 11pm-close at the Monster. Two double-features back-to back to kick of the [redacted] year of my life.

Thank you for all of the birthday love, and a special thanks to everyone who came out to see First, Contact—a 10-minute sci-fi musical about religion, aliens, and love of family that I co-wrote with @stopwalkband. Seeing a show I wrote on stage, performed by such a wonderful cast, was truly the best birthday present I could have hoped for.

Thanks so much to @rjthecomposer @andrea.j.love @the_evan_michael_smith @csecooney and @gabrielle_filloux for their incredible performances, and to @woohoojwu for directing the show, and to my husband @brandoncollwes for his beautiful movement direction. Thanks also to @theatrenowny for including our show in this year’s festival, and for giving this platform for emerging theater-makers.

When NASA announces possible first contact, there are many ways to react, but @andrea.j.love thinks @rjthecomposer should call his sister…

Come see what else happens in this bold but intimate 10-minute musical with a book by @stopwalkband, at @theatrenowny’s Sound Bites XII, Monday May 5th @kaufmanmusiccenter. Ticket link in bio! Use TNNY10 for 10% off tickets.
