My new place is finally done. This past year has been one of intense self-reflection and growth on my part, much of the struggles of which I allowed to flow through me and funnel into productive, fulfilling projects - such as the one you see in this post. I am very pleased with the results, and I’m excited to move onto my next creative outlet, whatever that may be! taken in Dayton, Ohio by @chris_hemsath

After nearly losing my hand and dying, going on medical withdrawal, coming back from medical withdrawal, fitting in an entire semester of work in three weeks while dealing with COVID during winter break, overcoming the early stages of substance abuse due to PTSD, and making it through half a year of intense physical therapy, I am proud to be able to say that I graduated with honors with two degrees, becoming the only student at the University of Dayton to graduate suma/magna cum laude in two different programs. I want to thank all my friends and family for their support over the past nine months. I can honestly say that without your support, I wouldn’t be here today. Thank you. taken in Vandalia, Ohio by @chris_hemsath

Hey all, Chris here. About a month ago, I nearly died from blood loss after nearly having my wrist amputated from an accident involving an abandoned building and a broken window. The injury required life-Savin surgery, and I’ve spent the last month or so in recovery, during which I’ve dealt with depression and severe pain-medication side-effects. I was also recently diagnosed with PTSD because of the near-death experience. I’ve been largely absent from social media as I’ve dealt with this, as well as internal depression brought about by the pandemic which allowed my video game addiction to re-emerge. That being said, enough is enough, so I am back. Although I’m not yet fully recovered, I’m ready to re-engage with the world. Anyone who wishes is free to DM, snap, message, call, whatever, me in order to catch up and reconnect. I’ve lost going on two years of the prime of my life to this pandemic and injury, and I refuse to lose another second. by @chris_hemsath

So proud of all the work we did this past week to pull everything together and make something special! Can’t wait to travel to St.Louis as repeat Midwest champs! Also I’m so glad to know that I will always look like a goblin while doing vocal percussion. Let’s get it! by @chris_hemsath
