Crazy to think one random DM in 2015 turned into a 10+ year friendship, creative partnership, and a huge part of Ninja Noize.

Back in 2015, DJ Rommy B randomly hit me up and said, “Let’s do a birthday livestream B2B.” I didn’t know this dude AT ALL. 😂

More than 10 years later, he’s become one of my closest friends, my number one creative and business partners, and a huge part of Ninja Noize.

He’s helped create countless melodies when I can’t play instruments for shit 😂, captured our journey through photos and video, and helped bring so many crazy ideas to life.

But more than anything, he’s always been there.

You can hire talented people. You can find business partners. But finding someone who believes in you, creates with you, grows with you, and sticks around for more than a decade? That’s different.

I’ll always be grateful some random dude from the internet hit me up in 2015. 😂

Love you, brother. Thank you for everything you’ve done and everything we still haven’t created yet.

I work out so I can survive my weekend decisions. 😂

Monday–Friday: protein, weights, discipline. 💪
Weekend me: “We’ve earned this.” 🌮🍕🍔

It’s called balance. Unfortunately, my balance has calories. 😂

But on a serious note, today marks 1,313 days sober.

Giving up alcohol was one of the best decisions I ever made. It gave me back the time, energy, focus, and discipline I needed to actually chase my goals instead of just talking about them.

The MBA. Getting serious about music again. DJing consistently. Building my own business. Traveling. Training. Creating. Taking chances on myself.

And special thanks to Temple Construction for helping me build a plan to gain muscle, burn fat, and stay strong enough to survive being a headliner DJ in my 40s. 😂💪🎧

Because apparently my dream requires jumping around behind decks at 2 AM like I’m still 25.

I’m still a work in progress, especially when the weekend food shows up. 😂 But I’ve learned that reaching your goals isn’t always about adding more to your life.

Sometimes it’s about having the discipline to give something up.

I’ll always be grateful to Taboo for seeing something in me before I really knew where this journey would take me. He didn’t have to stop and help that kid at Fun Plex in 2001. I didn’t even ask. He just did it. And 26 years later, I still remember it.

That’s the kind of impact I want to have on someone else.

To Taboo, every DJ who taught me something, every promoter who gave me a shot, every person who booked me, every friend who supported the dream, and everyone in the DJ community who welcomed me, challenged me, or helped me grow: thank you.

Every opportunity I have today has fingerprints from people who helped me along the way.

So this next chapter isn’t just about seeing how far Ninja Noize can go. It’s about reaching back and helping the next DJ go further.

Someone once gave me their time when they owed me nothing.

The best way I can thank them is to do the same for someone else. 🥷❤️🎧

Someone asked me, “How did you actually afford to quit your corporate job and pursue what you really wanted?”

The truth? I didn’t have everything figured out.

My lifestyle changed. I had to cut expenses, rethink how I spent money, and accept a lot more uncertainty.

But one thing I’ve learned:

Don’t quit just because you hate your job.

Quit because you have a plan for what comes next.

Know your monthly expenses.
Know your runway.
Know how you’re going to make money.

You don’t necessarily need a spouse or partner paying the bills.

But you DO need a realistic plan.

I’m still figuring it out myself. Building my business. Booking DJ gigs. Creating music. Learning what works and what doesn’t.

This isn’t a “quit your job and follow your dreams” success story.

Not yet.

This is me documenting what happens after you actually take the leap.
