“Come on and fly with me / I’ll take you out way beyond the trees / and if we fall, we’ll still be gaining speed / look around, you never needed wings”

Im really excited to announce “Big City People” comes out this Sunday on all streaming services. It features the incomparable producer and vocalist @kayla.blackburn on vocals. Drawing from musical theater influences, the song describes a main character, new to the big city, trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. There’s been little debate that is the best track on my new record, due out later this year. Kayla knocks it out of the park. #newmusic originally written by me and @willleet taken in Cambridge, Massachusetts by @chrisburnsct

I’m super excited to announce the release of the first single off my new record. It would mean the world to me if you could listen, like, and share this new track!
“Aftershock” is a song about crisis, change and new beginnings. The final stanza asks: “when the world cracks / can we glue it back.” This feels unfortunately relevant today. I owe an immense debt to @kayla.blackburn for producing this record from a bunch of shitty demos recorded by someone who’d only been playing piano for 6 months (me), and my longest creative collaborator @songfarmer22 for showing up at my house with aforementioned piano and forcing me to keep it. Special thanks to studio players @kyleharr1s on drums and @cillabonniemusic on bass. I also can’t forget appreciating friends who’ve been forced to listen to this too many times: @kl8on1 @kunz_e @andy_fly_excerpts #Newmusic #listentothis #indiemusic by @chrisburnsct
