Spent the better part of January trying to keep it left of center along the winding roads of New Zealand’s South Island.

It was so fun to get away and experience this wonderful country with @delecresc_e for a couple of weeks! Hit her up for all of your trip planning needs - she crushed it on the itinerary.

We made it out with our van deposit intact, a good start on a sandal tan, and a newfound contempt for sandflies. Not a bad winter trip! by @chriscresci

“Arctic Alchemy” by @colin_arisman and @zeppelinzeerip tells the intimate story of Roman Dial, a father and climate scientist who has spent a lifetime finding meaning in the wild ⛰️. The film follows two intertwined stories: Roman’s search for his son who disappeared in the Costa Rican wilderness, and his long-running investigation into a mysterious poisoning of Arctic watersheds.

OLD MAN LIGHTNING!!! WE DID IT!!!! THE FILM IS FINISHED!!!!!

We NEED to celebrate a long road of 9+ years with many trials and tribulations. Come and hang with us at the premiere or buy us a well deserved beer(s) after at the Sheridan Hotel/Bar.

THE FILM:
John “Verm” Sherman, a legendary rock climber, raconteur and curmudgeon, has lost his climbing mojo and wants it back. What better way to do that than by scaling the world’s most famous boulder problem, Yosemite’s mythical Midnight Lightning? He conquered it 25 years ago, but since then the climb has gotten harder andu Sherman has gotten softer due to beerlust and his passion for bird photography. Nevertheless, he’s stubborn and determined. Plus, Sherman is dedicated to saving condors from extinction through his photography, and if leveraging his climbing celebrity will help, he’ll stop at nothing. With the help of cheerfully sadistic trainer Ryan “Meatball” Whited, Sherman embarks on a six-month mission to conquer bouldering’s “Problem of Problems.” What could possibly go wrong in this comedic climbing comeback film?

“Normally we are making outdoor accessories and apparel, so medical-grade devices was a pretty different stretch”

When the pandemic first hit, many businesses were faced with the decision of shutting down or making a drastic pivot. Outdoor Research was no exception…and theirs was quite the pivot. Utilizing their workforce of highly talented sewers, engineers, and employees, they started manufacturing cloth masks by the hundreds of thousands. In addition, they renovated an entire floor of their Seattle factory and started a new venture making medical-grade personal protective equipment.

Compiled from phone interviews with folks over 80, the film shares their perspective on the current situation and some wisdom moving forward. If nothing else, we hope it inspires you to give the older folks in your life a call.

Today is the day!
Over the last year, I've been working with my friends @benmullinkosson and @sampricew on a short doc about skateboarding, brotherhood, and what it means to be American. Today, the film “Osama & Ayman” will have its world premiere at the @docnycfest in New York City. Go and check it out if you are around! A few months ago, I had the opportunity to travel with a group of friends to Patagonia to direct a short piece for Mont Blanc featuring the insanely talented @chrisburkard
We expected to spend our time hiking the world-class trails, taking in the iconic peaks and enjoying the fall colors, but Patagonia had other plans. During our 9 day stay, we experienced rain, snow, and violent winds. Halfway through the trip, we began to realize that this might be as good as it was going to get. Although the peaks never revealed themselves, I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish and excited to see it online. Super grateful for an amazing opportunity and crew.
