Each year on June 11th for the past 9 years, I’ve posted a number. No context, no explanation, just a number beginning with 1 through last year’s 9. Today it’s 10. Today I celebrate 10 continuous years of sobriety. 10 years ago my friends circle imploded, I was getting ready to be fired and my body was not happy with me. It was a choice I wouldn’t make on my own but am so glad I decided it was the right thing to do. A messy 50 year ago old queen ain’t cute. Some years have been easier than others and the last was one of the tough ones. Throughout it all, I never felt the need to numb my feelings or check out, which I used to do frequently. Today, I live life on life’s terms and I’m ok with that. A big shout out to all those I’ve met on this journey. We don’t do it alone. ❤️ by @chrisdavid.life

I get to see her everyday as I grab my keys from the little spot directly above. She was strict but she also loved to laugh. Happy Mother’s Day Lucille. ❤️ by @chrisdavid.life

I’m walking with Team CCC ( @castrocountryclub ). My goal is to raise $1500. Money raised goes to amazing local organizations in the Bay Area, including CCC. Please give what you can. Link is in my bio. ❤️ taken in Golden Gate Park by @chrisdavid.life

To say there is a lot going on in the world right now is an understatement. One thing that remains constant, is the work @castrocountryclub does to support the recovery community in San Francisco. AIDSWalkSF helps raise money for so many deserving organizations, but I walk with team CCC to say thank you for all the support I have found within its welcoming walls. Cooper and I will be walking on July 20th and I humbly ask you to help me reach my goal of $1500.00. I can confidently say your pledge will help so many and none of the money is wasted.THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Donation link is in my bio. 🙏🏻❤️🐶 taken in Golden Gate Park by @chrisdavid.life
