Hand carved relief pressed on dyed paper.
On display now through November 4th at @thecamelrva

Every working title for this piece seemed too wordy & revealing, so I’ll opt to speak on it with revealing words!

I run, learn, and age beside many remarkable women, and I feel so thankful to have been let in on the greatest secret. There’s an elusive technique to navigating this world with a wholly satisfying comprehension; only the girls know, and only they can teach.

My mom raised me by herself, so I can’t help but feel that each time I love, hate, fight, and hope, I do so with muliebrity.

☆ This framed print is available to purchase and own! She’s laid behind a custom pane of glare-less glass (so her subtle shadows can still be seen)

If your interested in owning an unmounted print, I’d love to make you one!

In an effort to share something more casual, here are tiny sketches that live on sticky-notes stuck to my vanity

Personal heroine, @lorde scribbled shortly after releasing ‘Virgin’ a project that really stuck with me, in all its swirling identity flux

& Courage, a meek and gnarled beagle, who’s commitment guides him through constant otherworldly perils. I get a little emotional thinking about him. Branded cowardly, but proving just the opposite. “The things I do for love”

Maybe this girl from New Zealand and a pink dog from the Cartoon Network have never been side-by-side before, but it’s interesting to notice who become our idols. I’ve chosen to see these two every day by @chrisghrke
