It was a proud moment as we sat on a panel alongside the wonderful @chrishinessurfs and @adelegingell a few weeks ago 🙌🏼

The Defiant Shore talk hosted by @oceanographic_mag and @finisterre was a brilliant conversation as we explored why Cornwall, particularly St Agnes, seems to be a hot bed for positive ocean action and impact.

Being a part of it felt very special and we were so grateful to everyone who came along 🫶🏼

A very inspirational and special evening 🫶🏼

Last night was a wonderful experience with the fantastic @chrishinessurfs at @newquay_orchard 🙌🏼

The first ‘Rising Tide Presents…’ style gathering was a blast and collectively, we were able to raise £160 for Newquay Orchard through ticket donations.

“Activism is the rent we pay for living on the planet… And our rent is overdue.”

Chris Hines, co-founder of @surfersagainstsewage , former Sustainability Director at @edenprojectcornwall, and renowned climate activist, joined us this week at our Nottinghamshire burial site to talk about his career campaigning for the planet and how we can all do our bit to protect the places we love.

“I feel that we are quite close to a flip from the negative version of the world to the positive version of it”, said Chris, referencing The 89 Percent Project by @coveringclimate, which interviewed 130,000 people worldwide and found that 89% felt that the climate crisis was the number one priority governments should be addressing. Crucially, though, all of these people felt they were in the minority.

It can feel as though we are one drop in the ocean, unable to affect the direction of the tide. But as author David Mitchell writes in his bestselling novel Cloud Atlas, “What is any ocean but a multitude of drops?”
